I like Ellis and Carle and all, but how on earth are they ranked ahead of Nygren? He was a force in the SEL last year! Carle's a fringe player and I think we'll be lucky if Ellis turns into a Gorges type player..

It will be interesting to see how Nygren does in a full season, since he only played in 22 games last year but put very impressive numbers. At this point it really doesn't matter where guys like Nygren, Carle, etc... rank, it becomes a matter of preference and you have people voting based off different reasoning which makes it impossible to get a fairly accurate viewpoint.

Morgan Ellis is massively underrated. He has a chance to be a more high end version of Gorges...good size, mobility, grit. The biggest thing that hurts him is last year his team was brutal.

I like Ellis but there is nothing "high end" about him. Gorges skills are greatly underestimated on this board.

His skills are more high end than guys like Tinordi, Bournival, Engqvist.

WOW, all these posters voting for Carle over Ellis & even Nygren are badly miss-informed.

You do realize that Gorges averaged just under a point per game in his last 2 seasons in Kelowna......

Ellis' upside is basically a poor man's Gorges, which is fine with me if he can become a reliable #5/6 in a few years.

Well most of us haven't seen him play, and he was injured for an entire year, had a bad year last season. Just haven't seen him do enough to earn my votes yet.

I value NHL readiness. At this point, a lot of our prospects still have a shot at the NHL, but most don't make it so I just go for what's more proven.
