I wouldn't say that yet.

Is anyone willing to bet money that MAF and BJ spend the entire season healthy?

I don't think this means the end of Brent either...he's been good coming in cold when needed.

Less of a cap hit this year...cap hit was what kept Thiessen down in the AHL while Curry was getting the call last year.

Hopefully he gets a few games at the NHL level to see where he's at though as long as BJ looks good it's hard to see Shero not re-signing him.

I really hope he gets to play in a couple of NHL games this year. But that will probably only happen if injuries occur. I had hope we's sign him for more than one year, but maybe he didn't want that or maybe Shero didn't want that.

I imagine he didn't want that, he'll probably be looking to move on after this contract if he doesn't get a shot here.

I'd like to see him get 2 or 3 games this season, and then continue ripping up the AHL. Barring Johnson doesn't take an identical contract, Theissen should fill in nicely as the back up next season, or we could get a draft pick or something for him if he performs well in the games he's given.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him replace Johnson next year and if he doesn't then he'll latch onto a team needing a back-up goalie that's capable of filling in.
