My brother and I skated at MSG with Rod Gilbert. 6 years ago, I think it was.

Anyone ever been to the Rangers practice facility? I know the old one was open to the public but this one isn't, right?

Man would I love to go and watch the Rangers skate there. If it were open to the public I would be a rink rat there. Id be there at least a couple times per week.

Been there twice.

If you get Captain's Club membership with Blueshirtsunited, you get to go there in either December or January. You watch a full practice and then get to skate on the ice with two Ranger alumni. There's also drinks and snacks along with prizes.

Zuccarello, Stepan, Boyle and McDonagh did a great job goofing off. They had apparently put to together a routine to entertain the fans.

Last year's benefits.

Plus there was a bowling event with Del Zotto, Prust, Gilroy, Boyle, and Stepan, along with Graves, Sam Rosen, Joe Micheletti, and John Amirante.

And EC...

It's not a big deal, I agree, but does the dude care about anything? Mr. Emo strikes again.

It's so freaking funny though. I'm going to be upset that EC probably won't be around next year, so so many lols to be had.

No way the Rangers let Kreider take 91. NHL teams as a rule don't like giving rookies flashy numbers and the Rangers in particular have a rep for wanting to keep the jersey number conservatively low. Gilroy was an exception because his number was a tribute to his late brother.

Feds: Hey, Erik can I have your number?
Erik: As in my phone number? Like you want to hang out?
Feds: Um, no...
Erik: Then what number? My apartment number?
Feds: No, you're number on the team.
Erik: The soccer team? The water polo team?
Feds: The hockey team.
Erik: Which one?
Feds: The one you're on now.
Erik: The Whale?
Feds: The Rangers.
Erik: Yeah, sure, whatever.
Feds: Thanks.
Erik: You still want to hang out?
Feds: No...
Erik: Okay...*slits wrists*

It isn't overly flashy.

Though they'll probably have him start off with a mid level number and then have him take 91.

I hope EC is ok....the asbestos from his home in the MSG roof must be getting to him if he was so willing to give up his number.

and Feds is such a nice dude. Glad to have him back, that's the kind of attitude you want rubbing off on a young club.

Also 71 for Rupp? I guess Malkin was holding him back all those years, maybe we should give him a try at the top line LW spot.

Wait until the first time we're shut out. If Torts doesn't give Rupp at least one shift on the top line, I'll be stunned.
