Butler.

Kid has done what Filatov has yet to do.

He has shown an ability to score goals at the NHL level.

Silfverberg.

He's like a Jack of all trades.

Point?

He and Filatov have almost exactly the same amount of professional experience.

No doubt Filatov here. He has by far the highest ceiling out of anyone of our prospects

I'd like to know how all the professial scouts on this forum judge the ceiling of a player who declined from year 1 to year 3 as higher than any player who has, you know, improved in the last couple of years.

Voted Filatov but had to think twice... Silfverberg is a really good prospect too.

Derek Grant and Andre Petersson should be in the vote options already or very soon. Borocop is nice and everything but his potential is not as high as the 2 others. I know he is from Ottawa but why is hyped as much? Gryba and Blood could be there too, same kind of potential, but there's 2-3 guys not on the list (named them already) that should be higher in those prospects rankings.

Sorensen soon to

I'm referring to what I believe them to be.

I think Filatov is a 8.0D, and Silfverberg is an 7.0B.

Silfverberg= 7.5B

I see 7.5, not 7.0. If he gets that skating thing going, he could get to 7.5. If he doesn't I see him as a top end 3rd liner.

Silverberg may not have the high end of Filatov, but his bust-o-meter is low/nill, so to me he is clealy the better prospect.

Add Greening

This. Filatov has a higher ceiling but Silfverberg is much more likely to reach his potential.

Silfverberg for me. Filatov is just too big a question for me right now. Also, how is Stone not on this yet...

Because he can't skate and will never make the NHL. This forum obsesses over Mark Stone because he had one good year in junior. The fact is that his skating is no where near good enough for an NHL player and it most likely won't ever be.

The same can be said for almost everyone remaining on the list. Stone needs to improve his weaknesses just like everybody else.

As much as I love Silfverberg, this is Tovie AINEC. He's only 1 year older and just look at the things he's already done. He "regressed" this year due to the face that he was injured and in huge disputes with management while not fitting into the Columbus system to boot.

The things that Filatov has already done put him head and shoulders above Silfverberg as a prospect (and any of our other prospects minus maybe Rundblad tbqh.) It's too bad he's getting such a bad rap for one bad year.

I would choose Noesen, but will vote for Silfverberg since at this point it's a two-horse race.

I completely agree (minus the "Tovie" part). I've been voting for him since poll #1.
