RFA's signed

O'Reilly 1yr/$1.5
Spaling's contract is two years at $2.1 million total
Halischuk's deal is two years at $1.425 million total
Mueller's contract is a two-way deal.

Kostitsyn will still go to the arbitration hearing tomorrow

Finally some good news, although we dont know the prices yet!

I am so glad Spaling is signed

EDIT: ok we do know prices...

http://predators.nhl.com/club/news.h...id=DL|NSH|home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 7, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forwards Matt Halischuk and Nick Spaling to two-year contracts, and forwards Chris Mueller and Cal O’Reilly to one-year deals. Halischuk’s contract is worth $1.425 million, paying him $600,000 in 2011-12 and $825,000 in 2012-13 while Spaling’s contract is worth $2.1 million, paying him $1 million in 2011-12 and $1.1 million in 2012-13. O’Reilly’s contract will see him earn $1.05 million in 2011-12 and Mueller’s two-way contract will see him paid $550,000 at the NHL level and $65,000 at the AHL level.

Good news finally. I really want SK signed though, unless Poile has a trade/signing to announce, which I sincerely doubt. I don't think Bergfors will come in and replace SK's production.

Numbers are TERRIFIC. Exactly what I would have put them all at. Maybe a little high for O'Reilly, but I can live with it.

Wish SK were included, but with Don Meehan as his agent, I'm not surprised he's not.

Finally some good news. Gotta think the NHLPA isn't happy that these guys signed early..

hmmm, so the folks ringing their hands over this gigantic screwup, what kinda' spices and condiments you liking with that crow? (premature? don't think so - it's probably exactly what was surmised, SKs agent didn't like him being boxed in as an RFA and took advantage of a situation where he might be able to find a loophole)

This should put us ahead of the Islanders payroll!

Can't complain, those numbers are decent. SK must be looking to cash in big time.

There's no indication that SK is behind this, whatsoever. He has a scummy agent, but I don't think even Meehan is behind it...like i said in another thread, the NHLPA has been on their toes watching for something like this, and we were the unlucky one. SK is going to get a bigger contract, already filed for arbitration-- it shouldn't surprise you or anyone that he's not in this group, which has considerably less leverage.

Decent outcome notwithstanding, it doesn't cover the fact that someone bungled big time to even allow that loophole to be open.

And if SK splits or we have to pay him a giant bundle, then it's still a pretty gigantic screwup - considering we would just lose the leading scorer, just about the only guy who can actually put on in the net.

Very good numbers. O'Reilly's one year has me curious. Does that bring him to UFA status next year?

Nash $38.7 and NYI $37.8 according to CapGeek. Capgeek also has the listed players as RFA after the contracts.

Good numbers. Cal O. ought to really get his shot this year. If he stays healthy he could be a big time steal putting up 40-50 points.

Not bad. I kind of expected Spaling and O'Reilly to get close to the 1m mark. I would've loved to have seen a thread titled "ALL RFAs SIGNED!!!" but I'll take it.

Let's wrap SK up now for something LESS than $3m and I'll be happy.

Good news, but we're not quite out of the woods just yet. If we lose our co-leading scorer from last year to UFA status, we're now searching for not one, but TWO top six forwards.

Actually with sk being eligible for arbitration that pretty much guaranteed him getting a large number for one year. This will only be a disaster if sk holds out until the arbiters ruling and he becomes a ufa. Otherwise i see a two or three year deal getting done soon

Couldn't sk have filed for arbitration even without the screw-up occurring?

Ok except does that get CalO to UFA status? If so, that was the price we paid b/c Poile otherwise would have insisted on 2 yrs.

Love the Spaling deal.

Feels to me like SK could be gone either way... not looking like a "Preds player" type approach over the last two weeks.

No, O'Reilly will still be an RFA at the end of this contract. This is a "show me what you got" deal...

Great news. We still lack Shea and Kostitsyn's contracts...but more pieces to the puzzle always feels better.

Awesome. In that case, it is the perfect and expected deal for both sides. Thanks for the info.
