A bit of pertiinent history to serve as background for Michael Farber's article: Four of the six pre-expansion teams have won the Stanley Cup at least once since the advent of the era of expansion in the autumn of 1967. Except for St. Louis, all of the suriviving teams from the first wave of expansion have won a Cup at least once. (Dallas succeeded Minnesota, which had previously merged with Oakland,) Several newer teams have won, including one bordering on the Gulf of Mexico, one in the Rocky Mountains by way of Quebec, two in the west of Canada (including one that migrated from Atlanta). The Cup rested on Long Island for four consecutive years. I am waitng for the Capital of Hockey to make a statement rather than its perennial empty boast.

Ah I see, but did you know that the lightbulb was in fact invented by Edison, and he has not invented something in quite some time? Might be because he's dead but I'm not sure. Also, Pigs are actually quite clean despite the sterotype that they are dirty, and Advil is generally considered the better alternative to Tylenol.
The moral of the story? Try and find applicable threads to post your silly/non-sensical diatribes.

You want a direct, timely, relevant post that is free from stereotype? Here it is in language even you can comprehend: JFJ has not assembled a team with a reasonable chance of snapping the Leafs' 38-year-old Cup drought. Analyze the roster objectively and see if you can find cause for optimism.

You want something put in terms that even a pseudo intellect such as yourself can understand? Your dribble is entirely inapplicable to the argument at hand. It's like me interjecting that the Leafs are incapable of winning the cup during a presidential campaign-- it may in fact be true, but it is not relevant. Comprende?
