Why should we eat crow?? The team screwed up and pushed this to the deadline after Chicago got nailed for recently. It's their fault not the players, Good that the players realized that the money was not going to be better as a UFA. Poile got lucky that's all. Does not excuse the screw up.

No crow here. This whole fiasco served as, at the very least, a giant distraction and possibly handcuffed Poile as free agency began not being able to predict the future contracts of several of his players.

Disappointed...

Really liked SK...If he wants to go to the East, I assume he has had enough with the hardships of the Western Conference? He did shy away from physical play in the playoffs, afterall.

I heard that Sergei Kostitsyn would like to continue his career elsewhere. He would like to return to an Eastern team. #preds

Dang. I hope Poile has something up his sleeve. If not, this forward group is looking pretty weak. Smells like a developing year.

Eh. If that's true about SK74 I'm disappointed, but also too damn tired to care anymore since I can't do anything about it.

When Poile was on 104.5 the Zone the other day, he said he didn't think he would be able to resign all of the RFAs. Since the other RFAs except Weber and SK74 have been signed, I suppose that means we'll lose our 10-11 leading goal scorer.

If Poile is trying to engender confidence for Captain Weber, letting your leading goal scorer walk is a step in the wrong direction.

I am getting really concerned about the loss of so many forwards from last years team. We had great depth last year, and had to use it when injuries hit. Even though Sully and Dumont sat a lot last year, they were mature, veterans that provided leadership for the younger guys from MIL.

2011-2012 will look VERY different from the previous couple of seasons.

FWIW, ************** is NOT a credible source and actually has a worse track record than Eklund from what I've been told.

Yea im scared Weber might be turned off as well. Im not feeling good about SK. And if he does go, Its a must an absolute MUST to get a 70+ pt producer, preferably a sniper.

*************** rumors are forbidden on the trade board because he's a fraud. He is actually FAR less credible than even Eklund. I wouldn't worry about it, and I'd probably recommend not following him on twitter.

As for Poiles comments, I think they're being misunderstood. He said he didn't think they'd be able to resign all the RFAs BEFORE FRIDAY's HEARING.

SK wants to be here in his own words, I'm guessing we want to keep him, so it will work out.

preds site is showing 1.05 for Cal O instead of 1.5. Obviously a much better deal if that is correct.

Word. All deals are awesome.

As for SK, I don't think we should be so hard on him. I would expect any player to do the same thing in his shoes. Being arbitration eligible and leading our team in points puts him on a different level than the rest.

I don't see a problem with players. Most of us were just unhappy that we had to go down this road at all. Glad we signed the RFAs and would like to see Weber and Sk back and hopefully we can pick up a little help from somewhere. If we can get 25 goal scoters from SK and Horny then we would be in nice shape. I like the thought of trading for someone like Hemsky or another solid 20 goal scorer

See...there you go. Remember, it's only July. Still a couple of big issues need to be resolved but things are getting taken care of. Don't let the emotions take over, people won't take you seriously if you do that.
