I get why people are hating on Kris Russell...but I'm hesitant to do so. While he hasn't been able to live up to the hype, he also is still very young at 24 and he now as another offensive defensmen Wiz to mentor him. I think Russell could have a big year this year

I agree with you. The problem is, many if not all have hoped this for a few years now. The guy's built for Arniel's system. I hope he's healthy and I hope he kills it.

The funny thing about the haters, especially the comments about 'sisters' and calling him 'Kristine', they wouldn't say boo if he was standing in front of them. Gotta love internet muscles. Guy plays his ass off. Say what you want about his play or potential, but calling him "Kristine" or making offhand gay jokes? Really lame and embarrassing, folks.

You won't catch me knocking Kris, as I've been a big fan of his since his days in Medicine Hat. I, too, think he's due for a big season in the NHL, and will be one of the first ones to call out the people who bashed him when he does.
