Terms of these deals are insanely predictable

Girardi-Sauer and now Dubinsky-Anisimov parallels.

Bet you its between 1.6 and 2.1 million per.

Very nice. Can't remember who it was, but someone said AA prob had an agreement to a deal but thought it wouldnt be released for a few days because Rangers seem to release this kind of news in bunches.

Awesome. I'd love to see AA put up 55-60 points on the pack line this year. Barring any injuries or other roadblocks in development, in 2-3 years Richards-AA-Stepan might be the best center depth in the NHL.

Crosby-Malkin-Staal might have something to say about that

Shhhhhhhhhh don't ruin my offseason optimism! Besides, Crosby is the new Lindros, Malkin's a lazy Russian, and Staal is nothing better than a 3rd liner, right?

I think if all bodes well for Stepan and Anisimov you would have something similar to those 3 in terms of style, but obviously the Pens trio will always be better.

Crosby/Richards - #1's who will put up big numbers
Malkin/Stepan - #2's who aren't too shabby either
Staal/Anisimov - More of a defensive specialist that can chip in some points.

Not a bad problem to have.

Obviously the lower the #, the better for our cap.
However, the guy plays hard all the time, has real ability, and is someone who should, barring something ridiculous, not be traded and stay a Ranger.

Hope that as more deadwood goes and the cap is expanded, he gets something more going forward. Don't want him to feel shortchanged or unappreciated.
Expect he is smart enough to see they will not hardball him going forward, as long as he produces and improves.

Malkin is a #2 only because he plays behind Crosby. He's one of the best centers in the game otherwise.

Again wish the length was a little longer. Probably around 1.75per for this deal

Hopefully for 4+ years each of Cally/Dubi. I also wouldn't be surprised if Boyle went to arbitration.

Good term for Arty. The money should be fine too (1.8-2). He's definitely a keeper.

Thats a nice little homer analysis there.

Crosby is much better than Richards
Malkin is MUCH better than Stepan

Im not too impressed with Jordan Staal, but hes maybe a shade better than Anisimov right now.

Just maybe....

EDIT: that is to say, Staal is a beast.

Where did I say Richards and Stepan are as good as those two? I said clearly in the first sentence they weren't. All I'm saying is we'll have 2 centers who can put up points on the top lines and a guy who can shutdown other teams top lines while putting in some points. A similar setup to what the Pens have, but obviously not on the same level skill wise.

And I know Malkin is one of the top centers in game. I go to school in Western PA, I watch more of the Penguins than I care to admit
