I'd put them on the same plain. Sather puts the screws to Dubinsky during their negotiations, and he rightfully held out. I don't see markedly higher upside in Anisimov than with Dubinsky - both are good players.

Anisimov needs to get stronger, learn to keep his head up a bit more, and - perhaps most importantly - quicken that wrist shot so it does take him an hour to get it off.

A similar setup to what the Pens have, but obviously not on the same level skill wise.

And I know Malkin is one of the top centers in game. I go to school in Western PA, I watch more of the Penguins than I care to admit
Its nice to imagine but we have to take some time to see how things go. I mean on the positive side Richards gets 90 points like a top line center Stepan get like 50-60 and plenty of assits and Anisimov gets about the same playing good defensively. That would be great and put us right in the top 4 in the east most likely but on the other side of the coin... Some might not be sold on Stepan as a Center, last year he wolk up to three goals in his first game and played well not great all season taking nothing away from him, but you can still be skeptical as to whether he can succedd as a center with his size and skating not being the best as of now. Anisimov might continue to get better or he will stay staus quo and not improve and Richards might lack chemistry and have an awful year. Anyway i think we are just going to have to see how things look in training camp and beyond for me anyway before i say what r center depth is, is it a lot more unpredictable than is the Pens, bruins, Philly. Call me Crazy but im still more confident in our Defensive core and goalie than our forwards, we might add one rookie to the core and im sure whoever will do very well plus Sauer i think will be a real beast next year and compete with Stall for top minutes.

I though that wrist/snap shot was really coming on in the later half of the season esp while hes skating into the defender. That a very dangerous shot if he can perfect it. Similar to guys like OV who shoot on the fly obviously he doesent have the power and speed OV has but hes shot could still be dangerous if he uses it right.

Correct.

AA will be arbitration eligible at that time.

The salary cap has also risen dramatically since Dubinsky's deal (from $56.8m to $64.3m). Sather really did not put the screws to Dubinsky -- if anything, Dubinsky tried (and failed) to put the screws to Sather.

Great deal for Anisimov.

How on earth Anisimov is getting more than Bozak is beyond me.

But, moving on to the big guys now. I'm pretty sure Boyle is going to arb, its the best move for him but we need to get started on Dubinsky pronto, or else face the consequences.

beautiful

should make it easier to resign 2 years from now, also, depending on how things shake out, i could see one of those 2 getting traded pretty easilly if need be

I equate Anisimov to Sergei Nemchinov a lot. I think he can fill the same sort of role.

Any more offensive prowess he shows is a bonus as far as I am concerned. Its Stepan's development that could really put this team into the top half of the conference if he becomes a 65+ point guy.

LOL. It's because Sather is bad with money.

Good deal for Anisimov. Thought he'd get around $2 million. Thought Sauer would get $1.5 million, so a savings of $400k right there, based off what I thought they'd get.

Two key signings in one day. Our RFA's want to be here and are almost making it too easy. Salary wise Artem is where most everyone figured.

NYP_Brooksie Larry Brooks
Anisimov in at $1.875M per on 2-year deal. Very generous for 3d yr guy with no arb rights who wasnt much of factor last month or in playoffs

Does Brooks have to complain about everything?

Hes "Telling it like it is" dontcha know.

I'd say any salary the NY Post give Brooks is very generous for the crap that leaks from his column on a regular basis. Yo usually pay to have sewage removed from something, not added to it.

Brooks didn't break the news, so that's likely why he's whining about it too.
