they dont look as bad in these pics actually

It’s one thing to Photoshop some images of prototype jerseys in anticipation of the Winter Classic that is still five months away. It is something completely different to actually stitch them up and sell them.

Yet that is what borntrade.com is doing, selling the prototypes of the jerseys in the Claude Giroux and Danny Briere variety. The site sells knockoff jerseys at a discounted price with accuracy being a secondary priority. Even looking at the page that shows all the Flyers jerseys, the Briere jersey and Giroux jersey are clearly two different colors. The site does not have a concept jersey available for the Rangers.

The NHL hasn’t even confirmed the Winter Classic yet, let alone what the jerseys might look like or even announced a press conference to provide more details for the annual event. HBO has confirmed that the Flyers and New York Rangers signed off on participating in its “24/7″ documentary that is now a required part of the Winter Classic, but as of now, the jersey design is unconfirmed.

This jersey's been talked about since it first came out the Flyers may host the Winter classic. It's a reference of the old Philadelphia Quakers Jersey and it seems some chinese sweatshop decided they should start producing it based off of some random dudes photoshop. If it is that jersey I won't complain one bit as I love them and would buy one as my new jersey this year anyway but I would just take it as a grain of salt as I think someone announced that they were going with a retro late 80s early 90s look.

I actually really like what they did there. A blast from the past.

Beta version of the Flyers.

edit: if they're actually official.

Don't really like it, but what the hell. It's one game and I don't have to buy it so alright.

Philadelphia Quakers
1930-31

The Pittsburgh Pirates (not to be confused with the Major League Baseball team of the same name) moved to Philadelphia after five seasons in the steel city. The team was renamed the Quakers, after the nickname of the religious sect that founded the City of Brotherly Love. After "achieving" a record of 4-36-4, the team suspended operations amid the Great Depression and ultimately folded on May 7, 1936.

I personally love them. The Winter Classic Logo is pretty awesome too.

But I'd much prefer this:

Can't objectively say wether I like the jersey or not.

Just the fact that they go back 80 ****ing years to the Quakers design is so incredibly awesome that I just love that jersey.

Maybe it is ugly but I couldn't say.

Someone took concept art a bit too seriously. If they're gonna use the quakers jersey, at least use the flyers logo. That text is ugly as ****.

I can 100% guarentee you that this is NOT the jersey. The flyers at the moment are choosing from 6 jerseys. Every jersey is basically the same. They dont have a bunch of black stripes on the arms. Just 2 stripes on the arms. They are choosing from different logos to put on the front. One jersey says Phila with a liberty bell below it. The numbers are a cream color on all of the jerseys they are choosing from at the moment.
