Basically alot of talk about what will be expected in the upcoming season as far as the new rules, etc.
Roenick on playing in LA:
we have a sleeper team, we have a lot of young kids, that alot of people dont know about but your going to find out about pretty soon, young, energetic and physically talented. I am very optomistic that this will be a very tight knit group, we are going to do everything together and we are going to be a pain in the a$$ to play against
Roenick on being a salesman in the southern california market:
Your probably not going to hear much from me verbally until I start feeling better and feeling really confident on the ice. Once I can back it up on the ice and back it up with my play..then im going to go out and give a good push in the Southern market and bring hockey back to the south in an exciting way. I really wanna push to get some good rivalries down here.
Questions to Roenick:
Q:Will the Kings make the playoffs
A: No Question
Q: Who will lead the league in goals
Q:Who will win the calder?
Q: Will you play for the US Olympic team?
A:I better or the ***** is really going to hit the fan!
Q: Who is the best goalie in the world going into this year?
Q: Can Ken Hitchcock switch to being an offensive coach?
A: absolutely not!
All in all good interview, Roenick is going to be great for L.A..the guy ****ing rules!!!!
I hope both he and Brown make it. I have two USA jerseys here begging for their names and numbers.
I didn't know they were your type
Seriously, though, Roenick is a good choice even if he isn't invited. He's been the face of US hockey for a dozen years now, afterall. Brown is likely safe, too, since he'll probably be at the 2010 Olympics if not next year's. One jersey to look back (Roenick) and one to look forward (Brown)... sounds good to me.
