Boyd Kane

It's only been two games, but Kane is looking like a legit NHL player. The Fedoruk-White-Kane line played pretty damn good against Phoenix, keeping the puck in the offensive zone for the most part and playing tough. Hitchcock and Clarke (it might have been Holmgren) had wondered why no one gave him a shot in the NHL before, and felt that he could suceed, and the move looks pretty smart now. Again, it's only two games but the 25 year old NHL rookie has looked very good all things considered. It's nice to have this kind of depth.

It's pretty impressive they had Kane out in the last moments of the game vs. Phoenix. Kame, Kapanen and Primeau looked good.

Clarke gets ripped all the time, and will continue to take the heat until we win the Cup, but this organization has never had the depth that we currently have.

14 NHL forwards

Phantoms that can play in a pinch without hurting the team: Kane, White, Sharp

9 NHL Ready defenseman

A strong group of prospects playing Jr. Hockey (Carter, Richards, Ruzicka) even David Tremblay is having a great season, being the #1 goalie for the best team in Jr. Hockey the Gatineau Olympiques.

Areas most in need of help: stud young goalie & power forward winger.
