horcoff

i haven't heard that much about how horcoff did except for a couple of negative comments. everyone was talking him up for having so much more confidence. did this game have any impact on people thinking he can actually pull off being a #1C?

Yeah, there's a reason I love Schremp - He loves being out there. You guys stole him and he could very well make the Oilers this season.

[QUOTE=alanschu]

I really liked Syvret and Schremp however, for the rookies. Syvret played a sound game, and did an excellent job pinching in at times to keep the puck onside. Schremp also made a few nice grabs on clearing attempts, and seems to have excellent vision.

It was my first experience watching either play, but I was impressed with what I saw.

Get use to being impressed with these 2, i've seen them play over 100 times the past few years and they've both grown tremedously under Dale Hunter. I was really hoping Schremp would come back to London, but I guess I might just be dreaming.

You Oiler fans better appreciate the artistry he provides, I was truly amazed by the things this guy pulls off. Watch him in pre game and you'll wander if could be a pro lacrosse player as well.

As for Syvret, one of the nicest guys i've ever met and a great human being. I thought he'd play a year or 2 in the AHL with call ups, but you never know. He'd be a pretty sold #5 or 6 guy this year with good potential.

How did Syvret's shot look? He worked on it last summer and it made a huge difference last year.

The Flames goal was completely Cross's fault. His lack of speed was exposed on that goal, he had a huge headstart on the loose puck but lost out on the foot race to Lombardi. Not too long after this the puck was in the net. Syvret and Cross were the two D on at the time.

Besides that one play, I was actually pretty impressed with Cross though.

One thing I forgot to mention was MacT's blender.
gotta get the thing fired up so it's purring thru the season

A few weeks ago I said that I expect to see 'partial' line changes.
Well in pre-season, I expect to see a lot.
Many times 1 or 2 players stayed out to play with new linemates.
I was trying to focus on the D changes last night and noticed that quite often, MacT was changing 1 D at a time. Semi may have lost his concentration a few times, but if he wants it bad enough, he'll get more than the '1/2 shifts' he got with Prongs. btw - MAB was taken off the top pairing... see MacT's comment in Terry Jones column.

Gawd, I missed hockey.

Hmmm... ok.?.
Maybe I missed it.
That goal was seconds away from being a shorty.

I think the fans love him. If you were here for the Jory Moss Cup you would have been very impressed with the fans ovation when Robbie came out for the shoot out. I have watch a few rookie camp scrimmages, the Joey Moss Cup and the game against Calgary and I've gotta tell you... I'm a huge Schremp fan already!

Tran man - 1200 posts and you're still screwing up your quoting. I couldn't exactly tell what were your quotes and what were someone elses.

Nice to see another knights fan getting in the mix, though.
