For those that bought it, what's the extent of the history I could find on there? I don't need each individual game certainly, but a synopsis of what could be expected would helpful, if anyone is so inclined...

There are 868 classic games, dating all the way back to the 60's. Last night I watched some of the Wings/Avs playoff games from the late 90's. Good stuff.

You can sort games based off a specific player, specific team, or specific category (i.e. rivalry games, playoff classics, overtime classics, original six, cup clinchers, etc.)

Considering the lack of sports on right now and the NHL Network sucking during the summer, this is well worth the $4.95.

Oh wow, wasn't expecting a number so high! I appreciate the response, this sounds like an auto-buy.

^Seriously. As soon as I saw in this thread it was $5, I bought it.

Gotta do something to keep busy over the summer. Not like I've got friends or anything.

You have to go to their Customer Support page. I'm guessing you either send them an email or call them at the number they provide.

It may be under the classic games but..the most exciting Playoff game I've ever seen was Game 1 of the Sabres/Senators Conference Semi Final in 2006.

There was a game 2 years ago I think when the Flyers came back from 5-1 or 5-0 on the Canes

Sorry to bump but does anyone know a way of downloading a game as it is streaming, so that it can be put on an iPad to keep?

There are some apps that can record your screen, but the quality is pretty crappy usually.

To get the best possible quality, you can get a video capture card for your computer. The output from your video card goes to the input of the capture card and you extend your desktop to the capture card, play the video in your browser and record it. I'm doing this for a bunch of Bure games from the 90s.

Look up the Stars vs Bruins game from 2010. 3 fights in the first 5 seconds of the game.

The Vault is a life saver right now. It's great.

But there are certain games that won't load. I wanted to watch the Stars@Bruins game from 11/1/08, but it gets a connection error. Am I the only one?

Some of the game won't load I've found. A couple have no volume too. Still not a bad deal. I actually cancelled mine last month. I had to call up cause they automatically bill my credit card monthly. I gave them until November to give me live hockey or I was gonna cancel until the lockout ends. And I cancelled, because the NHL was not giving me everyday hockey.

I do plan to re subscribe after the lockout ends. I only started it this past June. I hope they don't automatically bill me for game center live though as I subscribe to center ice instead.

I can't believe some of you are giving your $ to the NHL still. Unsubscribe from that. I thought I'd do it but I'm not giving them even $5/month.

A good chunk of those classic games are on youtube or google video or NHL Torrent sites.

if you get hidownload, it can download the actual stream (flv format i believe), as opposed to capturing video from the screen.

I've got it in the UK via my GameCenter Live subscription. Didn't see it offered as an independent option though.

The game in 1997 where Ottawa clinched their first playoff spot.
