IMO, they're about fifth.

I'd put them behind Ottawa, Chicoutimi, Peterborough and Québec. They're pretty much tied with Seattle. Gatineau still has the best logo, though.

I like the name, but using Blainville-Boisbriand sounds weird to me. Couldn't they just use Verdun or something simpler ?

Anyways, the logo is nice and I like the fact they went with a unique "color" scheme. It sure looks intriguing.

Verdun? They're not in Verdun anymore.

I agree that they should have gone with just Boisbriand. Then again, hopefully with the inclusion of Blainville in the name, they will be able to get Boréale as their official beer sponsor! (Maybe start a trend that might move throughout the Q, or at least to Gatineau )

For some reasons I thought they would still be playing at l'Auditorium de Verdun ? Anyways, Boisbriand, as said, or just Blainville, would be better.

The arena is, technically, in Boisbriand.

I'd say Rimouski is one of the best.

The Aramada will have a new head coach and GM as Pascal Vincent has left for the NHL.

J-F Houle, who engineered the Lewiston Maineiacs defeat of the Montreal Juniors is now the head coach of the Armada.

Also, QMJHL Summer Trade window opens today...

Seconded. Nice, simple design. TOO much going on in the Victoria jersey, IMO.

Houle sets sail with the Armada
Published on: 1st August, 2011 by Nathan Fournier

Quote:
Former Lewiston Maineiacs head coach Jean-Francois Houle has landed on his feet.

The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League named Houle as their new head coach after Pascal Vincent stepped down from his post as general manager and head coach to become an assistant coach with the Winnipeg Jets.

The Armada will no doubt be one of the worst teams of the Q in 2011-12.

Will be interesting to see what Bouchard will do with our 20's...

Leblanc - AHL
Parkes - hopefully back
Aubry - probably back
Lefebvre - probably AHL
Fontaine - back
Anderson - back as a last resort
Pouliot - back as a last resort
Roussel - probably AHL
Beauchemin - back as a last resort
Berube - probably AHL

Would be happy with
Louis-Marc Aubry
Philippe Fontaine
hopefully one of Trevor Parkes or CO Roussel

Would give us some good trading chips at the deadline. The only players I'd keep on the current roster are Nikolaev (17), Marcoux (18) and Clarke (18). Rest need to go for guys that are 16-17 and draft picks. Guys like Kabanov and Ouellet could bring back a ton.

They will be the worst and we've already traded the 1st overall pick.

well the first goes to sherbrooke

then if landry comes back you keep the pick; which you can only hope it happens

I forgot about Sherbrooke, the good news is we finally have a good owner and a competent coach, the bad news, we have mortgaged our future, I believe we do have a 1st next year though ?? And we don't have one in 2013 if I'm correct ?

Anyone thinks TVA Sports will broadcast Armada hockey? Home games at least?

Do they have any kind of partnership with the league as of this moment?
