Guys, remember what this thread is here for.

It is NOT an all purpose OT thread, or lineup discussion thread.

I don't want to trade Gomez and Spacek. You don't want to **** up the locker room.

Like the players wouldn't be stoked to swap Gomez and Spacek then pick up a Stud #1 Centre

They won't trade them for picks and prospects - its gotta be a big name or nothing

And how do you propose we minus Gomez and Spacek ending up with a better chance of winning games?

As silly as this is gonna sound, but if Spacek is being shopped, they better have their eye on a guy like Hannan, because our D looks pretty weak.

What??

Desharnais had the same ppg % as a rookie playing with worse linemates, no pp time and 14 times cheaper. Who told you the Habs couldn't get other players to fill the cap? Eller also got way better towards the end of the season.

Weber is no liability anymore in his zone either. He can surely get to 16 points if he replaces Wiz and becomes Subban's pp partner.

i still dont understand who will be our other center if gomer is dumped.everyone wants to get rid of him yet they offer no replacement.you think we re gonna trade to get a 1b centermen ? lmao .yea right.unless we get sumthin in return ,which is unlikely,we would be worse off.

Mind you, he played against much easier competition than Gomez as well. Obviously that doesn't account for the salary difference, but having DD as our 2nd line center.. is scary.

Trading Gomez would be retarded. It won't happen.

Whatever floats your boat, just as long as our next 2nd line center who get 40 points isn't earning 7.3 mil a year and has the potential to be better.

Article is from a couple of days ago. Honestly as much as we would love to see both traded, I really doubt it happens

As sad as I am to say this Gomez wont be traded this offseason without a replacement coming back.

What I do hope happen is this line:

Ak - Eller - Trade/Desh

Gets more ice-time as they produce. Eventually ween out Gomez and trade him next year. Even if we trade him, its simple addition by subtraction but our coach is infatuated by vets so I doubt that will happen

Well...there is wayyy too much smoke around Gomez right now.

It seems on the RDS blogger, someone said that in the ESPN rumors thread the names of Gomez and Moen along with a pick is being talked about with Pheonix and we would be getting Kyle Turris.

Now I dont see this happening but you never know...They are still under the cap floor

Plus we have Blunden now that can do the Moen job

Geeez...Moen was a defensive stalwart on a Cup-winning Ducks team not all that long ago...Blunden isn't even a regular NHL player. Let's lay off the Xbox GM Mode for a second here. As if we could just slot one in for the other and not miss a beat.
