Cool, I guess.

I expect Hagelin to be first call up. I also expect Weise to be behind Hagelin. Unless we have injury problems again I dont see this guy getting more than a game or two with the club this year.

This was posted last night in the Salary Cap thread courtesy of Ren Hockey. $105,000 AHL. No re-entry waivers.

What`s the average salary for a worker in USA?
Isn`t it very hard work to be a career AHL`r?

Mean salary is around 34k a year.

AHL salary ranges from like 40-100k, I think. Getting above average salary to play hockeyis not a bad career choice. Its just that pro leagues in Europe that are similar in level to the AHL can often pay better money for tweeners (See Marcel Hossa, Enver Lisin, any number of others)

I know MODO Hockey had shown some interest in Thureson. Not sure how much he would make playing here in Sweden.

Nice to see a fellow countrymen joining the Rangers.

Thanks a lot. Then its very understandable to have a AHL career. Here in Norway, average salary for a industriworker is 61k.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_household_income

Looks like the median salary for Norway and the U.S. are nigh identical.

Interesting stats, but I can that tell this list is from 2007, not 2011.
My present home country Iceland is probably at around 50% of the number there for Median household income today compared to 2007, putting it at best around Israels numbers at 25th place. Along with the earthquakes, volcanoes and abyssmal weather the past 3 years - the economic meltdown here has made life unbearable. The rumor is now that the Megavolcano Katla will explode within short, God knows what then??? I am getting out Iceland now. Time to go...
