Scott Munroe signs 1 year deal

Only a rumour as there's no official confirmation yet, only his brothers twitter. Goaltender for Bridgeport if I've got the right person.

Yes that's him, played last season in the KHL. There's our veteran backup for Thiessen.

With Curry and Pechurskiy both going overseas, someone had to be brought in. Still, I'd hope/assume it's just an AHL deal since we're getting pretty close to the contract limit.

I think we're at the limit, will check when I add him in NHL11.

I believe after the signing of MacIntyre, it put us at 48/50, or something like that.

We're at 45, pre-Munroe. Nothing to worry about yet.

I'd only expect us to sign AHL players for WBS now anyway.

So I guess Killeen will get #1 duties in the ECHL again with a few call-ups to the Baby Pens and they will go with Thiessen/Munroe in the AHL.

Not too bad, don't know too much about Munroe besides that he's an AHL veteran.

Is it a deal with the Pens or an AHL level deal with the baby pens? Kind of like Sill was last year until the Pens actually signed him this year.

I have the team at 45 after Munroe, but that's because I'm not counting Kuhnhackl (who won't count against the contract limit since he'll be going back to the OHL for the season).

Depends on whether Montreal shares Wheeling with us again. They have signed Nailers' starter Peter Delmas to an ELC this summer.

It's up on the Pens site now. 1 year, 2-way, 525k in the NHL.

I didn't count das Kuhn and still got 45. Maybe you missed a fringe prospect like CPZ or Modig?

Don't know him, but going by stats he should push Thiessen for playing time.

They really need 1 more top tier forward, but 48 is pushing it.

Seems as good a place to post this as any, but if the comments on JB's blog are anything to go by, Wilkes-Barre fans are spoiled ****ing morons.

Habs also need a #1 for the AHL team in Hamilton, where Delmas is likely headed since they lost Desjardins and Sanford the last 2yrs (Desjardins to Tampa last year, Sanford to the Jackets). It'll likely be Delmas, Mayer and possibly some veteran if they need one or just those two in Hamilton. I would say Drew MacIntyre but he's signed with the Sabres so yeah.

So that doesn't concern me, Killeen is the only guy likely returning out of the two, to the Nailers.

They just signed another former Bridgeport goalie in Nathan Lawson. Maybe he and Mayer will hold down first two Hamilton's spots this year?

I had CPZ and Modig, but it turns out I was missing McDonald. That would do it!
