I was like, wtf happened there? He might really have been 'black balled' by the organization, it's a bit what I thought at the time anyway.
He did it to himself. Not blaming the organisation one bit.

Henry-Mitera; Search and Destroy tandem?

Also, can Mitera fight?

Carle turned the puck over like a hot potato in those games. And wasn't remotely noticeable on offense, apparently his forte.

Leach was fine and did very well.

I'm surprised we got anything out of Carle.

Can Mitera play 3rd pairing in the NHL if 3 or more of the guys ahead of him get injured?

He could probably play, but I doubt you'll want to see him do that again.

Apparently not. People saw videos of him on youtube and he got beat every time I think they said.

Seems like we acquired another Kostop.

Well he fought Robitaille and Lessard this year.

Robitaille has hit 300PIMs twice in the AHL, and Lessard has done it 3 times.

Or at least a no-lose for both sides! Seems like neither player was working out where he was, hopefully this will jump start their careers.

Meh, I liked Carle. During his stint in the NHL, I thought he did very well for a rookie.

Lessard's an animal. I have a scar on my chin from him hitting me........in practice.

I like this trade.

Carle wasn't going to crack the lineup. Mitera will spend another year in the minors. Next season, maybe he could crack the NHL. A defensive dman with size that plays a simple game, great for the 3rd pairing (especially if Gill is gone)

Too bad the Flyers didnt get Mathieu Carle, i mean they could have made a Mathieu Carle - Mathew Carle pair on D and confuse the hell out of any TV announcer..

"Carle passes to Carle who sends it back to Carle, Carle looks back and gives it to Carle..."

Just realized Mitera is still on his ELC, he's waiver ineligible. This will help the Habs' depth, with the team able to move Mitera, Diaz and Nash between Hamilton and Montreal without risking losing any of them.

This is another good minor league trade for us, like the Russell for Blunden trade. Like Russell, Carle was never going to play for us, but there is a chance Blunden and Mitera will even if just as competent call-ups. They also provide us with more size.

Mitera is not waiver eligible. Last year was only his 2nd season in the minors, so that's a real bonus for us. I liked him a lot when he played for the U.S. World Jr. team. This will be a big development year for him, and playing with a good team in Hamilton should help him a lot.

Carle wasn't going to get #1 PP time in Hamilton. I expect Nash and Diaz to be the two starters there, so it's just best that Carle moves on.

We clearly won this deal considering that he's so ****** that EA Sports decided to put a picture of Matt Carle instead of him.

Of course you didn't since he's from Quebec. A second round draft pick who is borderline NHL material surely is a bust...

So we basically traded a guy who isn't quite good enough for the NHL for a first-round bust who also doesn't seem quite good enough for the NHL.

I don't see Mitera ever amounting to anything, this is just an AHL trade (size/defense for speed/offense).

He hasn't been the same since his ACL reconstruction, but I still believe he has the potential to be a defensive presence.

Liked Carle, don't think he got proper justice as a prospect.

But this is one very good trade.
