I would never trade Kadri for Turris straight up!

Turris i still think has it in him but might be a risk for Toronto and I know Burke doesn't mind taking risks on younger players. But I believe that Kadri will be a better fit for Toronto and can hopefully put up more numbers.

Doesn't make sense. Kadri has a more complete game than Turris already. Plus grit.

both of them have top six potential one looks like he'll be a center for his career the other a winger. turris has improved little aspects of his game and in detroit series albeit 4 games he looked liked he's going to be a special player. whats more of a need a top 6 center or a top 6 winger? thats basically what your deciding on the kadri/turris trade

This.

Turris is older, slower, softer and less skilled. Is this alleged trade supposed to be a charitable donation or something?

Kadri for Turris? Sheesh...I really hope this doesn't happen. Not that I believe Kadri is the next Gilmour or anything, but didn't we just draft this kid? I'm tired of giving up on first round draft picks early....

I'd so do this. If any of you saw turris in the playoffs you'd do this in a second. Still has the potential to be a #1 center. Don't see where he fits into next years roster, though...

If Phoenix wants to trade Turris to the Leafs we can send them Komisarek back. He can replace the departed Ed Jovanoski ... Both players need a change and a shake up. Just my two cents. Stranger things have happened. Kadri stays.

Would not do this at all...People need to give Kadri a chance. Its as if we expect him to put up 82 points in his first year. That's not the way development works.

The only way i could see it working is if there are a lot more parts to a deal than 1-for-1. It'd have to have at least 6 things (players or picks) moving in the deal to make sense. Maybe they need a goaltender and would pay hand and fist for one.

From an organizational need it might make sense because the wingers in the system are better than the centers and Kadri is a winger now. But I wouldn't do it even up. Turris still might have a pretty good upside but he has spun his wheels more than NK and is not really a superior prospect. So what else has to happen to make it worth the Leaf's while? Komi for Rozsival? That buys them out of two years of a big Cap hit on the D and with Liles potential coming off the books they would have $9 million + to spend. I suspect I know the value of these two kids but BB may have a vastly different perspective. It could be a good deal or Burke could burst out laughing if he hears about it.

Right now all their eggs are kind of in the Colborne basket and we really don't know if Connolly will be a Jeff O'Neill or if Grabo will continue to thrive or even stay with them. This sort of deal might make sense, but not necesserily with Turris.

if Turris hadn't been a high draft pick, no one would want to make this deal. it's a bad idea, hopefully a bad rumor.

Sure.

That's a pretty good estimation of Turris' market price.

I'd trade Kadri for Turris in a heartbeat. What exactly has Kadri done that makes him so untouchable? To be successful your team needs to have the puck more than the other team, and Kadri is absolutely the WORST player I've ever seen at protecting the puck. He likes to dipsy doodly at the blue line to force offsides rather than dumping it in, he'll make lousy little "creative" passes that just give away posession and then he'll try to make up for it when he takes a bad penalty to show off his "grit". I don't care if Turris has done jack all himself, at least Turris won't have a negative impact the way Kadri would. I can live without the shootout goal or two we'll miss out on.

If Kadri doesnt play Center then im open for this, but Kadri has some sick moves. Either way i dont see PHX doing this as they need a C aswell

I bet not too long ago, you were complaining about Grabovski.

I agree but I wouldn't mind picking him up for a 2nd rounder.

This rumour is only the one source, no one on twitter is even discussing, or saying anything about it, so it would be a real scoop, if there was anything to it
