Barb Underhill

So did Boyle already start training with her?

Did Wolski, Prust, and MDZ actually follow through? Did anyone else follow suit?

Any updates/info?

There was a video posted by blueshirts united I believe where boyle answered a few twitter questions and one answer he had hinted that he, prust and wolski had already been training with her. No idea if mdz or mza had been training as well.

MDZ should work on his strength and defense. I think his skating is just fine. I am sure you can always improve any asset of a player, but he just has more pressing needs that he should be working on.

Guys like Boyle, Prust and MZA could use additional skating help.

Wolski... I just want him to improve anything, I almost don't care what it is. I think if he gets significant better at anything (skating, shooting, hitting, defense), he'll become a top-6 forward. He's very, very close as it is. I think if he could learn to become an even better skater, it would help him with positioning on defense and with his offensive output as well.

According to norwegian news, Mats is still in Norway....
If this is true, he either has not been training yet, or he has come back to Norway again.

Boyle (and whoever else is training with them) do not meet with Underhill everyday, or even every week.

If you watch the Cerny interview with Boyle from when he re-signed, he mentioned that he met with Underhill early in the offseason (Zuccarello was also mentioned as being there by Cerny, but no one else was mentioned from what I recall), planned to visit her wherever she's based out of (CT? if I recall) in the next few weeks, and hoped to see her again before camp.

I forget where I read it, but someone was crediting MZA with staying in the US to train instead of returning home.

Question: why is she the only skating coach we have? Wouldn't it make sense to have a full-time skating coach during the season and several part-time skating coaches during the summer?

Surely she can't be the only person capable of teaching people to skate well. Look at all those people training Winter Olympians.

That was about a month ago. Last week, Barb Underhill was working with TB's prospects at their camp, so Mats probably went home for a bit and will return later in the summer to start working out in NY again.

Skating coaches are underrated. It's incredible what fixing a persons stride can do.

I like how Boyle, on a knee, is just about as tall as she is.

Damn, some people....

She's awesome, I wish the whole team would train with her. Not just the two that don't surprise me. Good for the two breakout favorites from last year!

Wish I saw Prust, MDZ, and especially Wolski in the pic though...
