Caps and Pitt are pretty much interchangable. It's probably going to be neck and neck between the two for first overall in the East.

The Craps will be the best team in the East. I'm shocked that people are voting for the Pens over the Craps.

Voted Caps. Think they'll finish first though.

Caps & Pens are pretty much on a tier together. They'll win this round easily.

You're shocked? Why?

Granted Pittsburgh has a much better division, but if Crosby and Malkin come back healthy why would that shock you?

Did you witness that garbage roster the Pens were left with last year and how they still dominated?

There's not a lot of teams that are capable of that. Especially not the Caps if they ever lose Ovie and bongo boy.

I voted caps. They're going to be great with Voukun but I still give the Pens the edge. I hate both of these teams though and would love nothing more than for both to miss the playoffs somehow.

Still not scared of the Caps, I respect them as they have a very talented group of individuals but the Team concept is still missing. Boudreau is proof that talent can only go so far on it's own. He's not much of a coach, his tirades just make him look stupid it isn't like the team responds to them. Easily one of the worst coaches in the league.

Bylsma and the Pens on the other hand? Yeah they deserve to be ranked #1.

That's something to be excited about with the Rangers, it's clear they are a "team" and Torts although I wasn't a fan his first season he really showed last year he's a good coach. He also stopped throwing fits as much, a more restrained and focused guy now.

I guess I'm the only guy who thinks Pittsburgh will struggle this year.

Give me Washington thanks to Vokoun

Boston. Capitals will always be a joke in my power rankings until they can do things in the playoffs.

I'm not sold on Pittsburgh either Fitz.

Malkin has been as injury prone as Gaborik lately, and the jury's out on if Crosby comes back and is the same player and puts up points on a torrid pace like he was pre-concussion. Sullivan and Neal are solid additions, but if one of Crosby or Malkin is out of the lineup at any given time, they're about as ordinary as anyone else in the division.

Went Washington...again

Capitals. They'll have another great regular season...

playoffs? Who knows... but with the Vokoun addition and Ovechkin possibly getting back to the 50-55 goal mark... yea, they're 2nd after the Pens.

Caps again.

Boston may end up as the third seed but only if they manage to win their division again. I don't see them being in the top three teams point wise. Teams measure themselves against the Stanley Cup champs. Practically every game they're going to get the absolute best effort out of their opponents. They played 20 some games of grueling playoff hockey and will have the shortest summer of every other team except Vancouver. They have a number of very good players but they are not star studded and their main goaltender is getting old--he's going to need more rest next year--I would think anyway.

I actually think the Rangers or the Flyers are going to end with the third best record but probably the Flyers. I think barring tons of injuries the Rangers could end up anywhere between 2nd and 7th.

1. Caps
2. Penguins (provided Crosby stays healthy)
3. Flyers
4. Rangers
5. Bruins (getting the third seed)
6. Lightning
7. Sabres
8. Canadiens

Nope, you're not the only one; they're becoming criminally overrated on this board. I see them as one of the biggest "question mark" teams coming into the season.
