If Emelin could be as good as Knonwall (from Detroit) I would be surprised and delighted.

Don't put too many hopes in Blunden folks. I'm ok with the move as a longshot upside with no downside, but that's all.
Are you just going by stats (where they appear close in terms of PPG), or what these guys actually do/did in the AHL. Reason I ask, is because I don't remember Pyatt regularly being on the #1 powerplay unit in Hamilton (don't know about Hartford), while Blunden has been featured on the #1 PP unit for the past two AHL teams he has played for. Usually someone who gets lots of PP time has shown more "offensive flair" than someone who doesn't, so I'd be curious as to what you've observed that makes it different in this case. I know Pyatt has a few PP goals to his credit, but Blunden has seen enough PP duties to score well over a dozen.

I have a feeling that we might get quite excited about Weber this year.

Pyatt last year in AHL age 22: 35 points in 41 games, mostly 5-on-5.

Blunden last year in AHL age 23: 21 points in 37 games, PP points significant

Seems Pyatt showed more and earlier, in AHL of course.

Sample size is just too small to draw a fair conclusion.

Fair enough, but if I recall correctly, this was all about someone saying that Blunden had offensive flair, and was put in the same sentence as Cole.

I thought that might be going too far!

Don't know about that. In Blunden's first stint in the AHL, he played well enough to get a 9 game look at the NHL level. Add in, like I said earlier, that Blunden has been used regularly in his teams' PP units, while I don't recall the same being true of Pyatt, and I think your bolded statement is the exact opposite of "reality"; whether we're talking "showed more" or even specifically "showed more offensively".

It's so funny how all the summer threads get turned into "all purpose threads" - lol

We should create a "we are bored as *******" thread
