16. It was my number for travel soccer but I quit soccer and switched to hockey and the number just stuck. You don't see number 16 pop up too often anyways.

#39 for Calgary Flames-era Doug Gilmour.

Also just named my new kitten Dougie. Notice a trend?

#52 in AA as a forward.
#3 in ball-hockey as defence.

For me it's #19. Sakic, Yzerman, Thornton, so many good players have worn this number and I think it looks the best as well. Don't know why it just seems to look good on any jersey.

Normally # 9, for Gilmoure (we share the same name) and growing up when they'd assign numbers in classes I always ended up with 9 as my last name is a D also. I also wore 93 for a few seasons as a kid, lucky 13- 1 year, and this season they gave me 24. 24 just doesn't seem right.

#19 is a MINT number too... If I can't wear 9 I'd take 19 or 4

9 because that was my number as a kid, which I wore because my uncle wore it through high school (he wanted 99 but it was taken). Also I was a big Modano fan as a kid.

I wear 76 or 89.

I like two numbers in sequence and like how those two look together.

Oh believe me, I presented that option too. It was not met with much enthusiasm. What can ya do though, Dougie is a pretty good compromise. We both win lol.

if 27 ends up being taken i use 72..

i am a forward for the record

I'd always been #10 in honor of Pavel Bure. For my current team I am #93 because it was one of the only jerseys they had available when I joined. It served me well, so I kept it.

#11, hopefully I can keep it, tribute to Saku Koivu, one of my favorite NHL players of all time. If I can't have that, I may switch to 19, Yzerman, Sakic, Doan, great number also.

i always try to wear #5 as it's my favorite number and one i've used for a while including in other sports that i play. If 5 is taken i mostly will do any number with 5 in it, mostly 75 or 15.

96, it's been my favourite number since I was a little kid, plus I play a similar style to Pavel Bure, and if that's not available then 16. 16 is my soccer number.

I wear 11, because it was the easiest number not taken to tape onto the back of a jersey when I first started playing. I've just kind of stuck with it and will continue to do so.

If I go to a team on which it's taken, I think I'd go with 37. For some reason I like the look of it and it's what I always game myself in video games.

11 - my date of birth and favourite number...or if it's taken I'll take the backwards of 11.

Okay, if it is taken I would take 91

I´ve been 1, 11, 17 and 19. Doesn´t really matter. # 1 was odd for a forward, but it was fun wearing it for that season, made lots of questions etc.

In high school playing house league I had my best season wearing number 16, but my first season playing adult league I wore 85 because I liked it, wore it till 2007. After that I changed to 32 because A) it was the reverse of Don Mattingly and because of how cool Robin Bouchard was to me when I met him in Muskegon. On my other team I wear 29 because 32 is taken. Another number I liked, plus Grant Marshall wore it.

It's always 32 or 29 now.

I picked 77 at first this year but someone on my team wanted it so i gave it to him so i pciked 88 which IMO is better for a forward

I try to play a good 2-way game, maybe a Mike Richards? I've never really thought of it.

Wore 81 for Kessel my first season (last year), had to switch to another team due to technicalities so I could play JV and wore 28 for Giroux and I'm a good passer, and now my first travel season I'm 21 for JVR

i use number 3
reasons why i use 3
1. dustin brown's number (23) has one 3 in it
2. jack johnson's number is 3
3. drew doughty's number (8) is like a backwards 3 and then a 3 directly after it.
If i cant get 3 i would probably take 91
