I remember Kevin Weekes having #80 because #00 wasn't permitted in the NHL.

He has the natural talent and is a gifted athlete, and Pierre Groulx is going to work with him and lets see how good we can make him.

This is why Gauthier signed him.

IIRC, Colorado did not have a full-time goalie coach for a long time. Surely did not help.
