I believe so. We gave him a QO right? My knowledge of the CBA makes me wanna say that yes we will hold his rights. It said he's only taking his game overseas for a year. He just got married. You gotta believe this is all about getting paid so he can have money to support his newly formed family.

Yes. Situation is exactly the same as with Moller and Franson this year, and with Brady Murray before them. The Kings mantain his rights since he was tended a qualifying offer and he will not count against any of the limits on numbers of players or contracts owned by a team.

Smart move for him. As far as rights are concerned, the Kings will have his rights for the rest of the year like Fransson but he will be a UFA for 2012-13 since he will be 27 years old (also like Fransson).

Good for him. I liked him but he had no room to move up. We have plenty of what he brings on the lower lines and he was never good enough to be on the top lines. Clears room for others in Manchester and earns him more money likely. Good for both sides and hopefully he catches the eye of another team and makes it with them. All the best to him.

No real loss, but glad that he at least got a taste of the NHL and scored a goal. Best of luck dude.

Is there really a need? The team was good enough to make the playoffs last year and then that happened... But still The team will be almost exactly the same and could possibly have a full season of Loki as well, so I don't really see how and NHl vet is needed as long as Hickey, Deslauriers, Loki pick up the slack from the lose of Elkins, Moller...

Thing I've been wondering is what this does to the center position in Manchester and Loki. Loki is a natural center but with Kopitar and Richards signed long term the emergence of Lewis, as well as Richardson being a center as well, where does Loki fit in? Then look at who's expected to be in Manchester and there's a lack of skilled natural centers beyond Azevedo. Loki's best chance to make the Kings would seem to be on the wing, but again consider that Manchester is pretty stacked on wings with Kozun, Holloway, King, and Toffoli. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Loki and where he ends up playing and what position.

Toffoli isn't AHL eligible. He'll make the Kings (doubtful) or go back to juniors. I believe Vey, however, will be on the Monarchs.

Good luck to Corey!

With our depth, he had nowhere to go in LA.

He could conceiveably play in the NHL in a year or 2 as a bottom-6er.

The 'Narchs will be fine, they'll have a solid group with good chemistry together that was very disappointed in their game 7 loss to Bingo.

As for Elkins, he had a decent two way game that still needed more polishing. As others said we have others who bring what he does.

Loki, Vey, and Holloway won't make the Kings out of camp... Done! Any other holes you see?

BFD, if Holloway doesn't show then the Kings sign a vet or go with another kid, not like there's a shortage of either.

Just saying the Kings let three pretty good prospects get away from them for nothing ,thats all.
