Yakubov and Galchenyuk

Anyway we can trade to move up in the draft next year theses two are going to be sure top #5 picks would go nuts if the flyers could get one or both make it happen homer.......

Call me crazy, but I don't see us drafting either even if given the opportunity.

Look for us to go after an NA defenseman. I'd be shocked if we didn't, particularly because we need one but also because this draft is supposed to be heavy on quality defensemen not unlike 2008.

I hope we get a defenseman. We'll need one soon.

yakupov will likey be the 1st overall pick, barring a major sophomore slump.

we wont be getting him... i hope

i fully expect the flyers to target a defenseman in the draft, if they dont trade their first at the deadline for a defenseman cough*ryan suter*cough

I would prefer someone like Griffin Reinhart or Nick Ebert.

I'd pass one drafting a highly touted defenseman simply bc we've been terrible at developing them

Good point. We seem to be better off letting other teams develop our Dmen for us.

We'll just get on the phone to our NHL affiliate, Nashville.

I really hope we get Weber as a UFA. That would tickle me pink.

Suter and a defenseman in the first would go a long way towards quelling worries about the D as shaped now.

Yakupov is the #1 pick, no doubt. We won't be getting him, and I don't see us being in a position to draft Galchenyuk either.

lol imagine if Weber signs a 1 year deal, and Timonen retires next year...

we could feasibly throw 13 million at Weber + Suter!

Pronger-Coburn
Weber -Suter
Meszaros - Lilja/XXX

sick.

I wonder if they would want to move to another team together?

Flyers don't draft by position they will draft the best available player and make a trade or UFA signing if they have a specific need. In 2012-13 they will def need a D-man and i agree suter would be awesome but he may command 6.5+

Grigorenko begs to differ.

All depends on his output in the upcoming season and what the market looks like at the time.

The Flyers typically will draft the best available player and Holmgren even spoke about that during the draft this year.

An NHL team will not draft a Russian 1st overall that is still playing in Russia. I just don't see it happening. Yakupov coming over to play in Sarnia says a lot for me, and the season he had as a rookie was amazing.

Honestly, we need a Larsson/Myers/Hedman type of d-man for the 2012 draft. Big, with great offensive and defensive skills.

Grigorenko is coming to Quebec to play with the Remparts this year. Patrick Roy confirmed it.

I'd take either one in a heartbeat, but if neither are there you better be giving me Mathew Dumba. The guy IS Flyers hockey.
