East Coast LA Kings Fans......

Hey....I'm getting transferred with the Coast Guard to Maryland. I'm seeing if there are any Kings fans out there interested in getting Kings fans together. I'd like to visit as many hockey arenas as possible in my three years out there.

Also any good insight about the area would be nice....hockey related or not.

- I'm looking forward to the upcoming season!

Thanks

I live in NYC. I'd be up for meeting up at a NJ or NYI game. Usually I bum tickets off my friend for NYR games.

Philly has a great stadium- well worth visiting.

As you'll soon find out, the time difference makes the next work day a Looooong day. I wish the Kings would start at 7pm as opposed to 7:30pm-- it actually makes a big difference.

Welcome to the East Coast.

I've noticed a lot of Boston fans seem to like the Kings.

It's probably just foreshadowing. Knowing how to recognize a championship team, the people of Boston obviously see the Kings as the "next one".

Mostly due to Monarchs being just up the road in ManchVegas. I myself became a Kings fan when I lived in La Puente and just brought them with me. Kings come to Boston on 12/13 so if you plan on coming up keep us posted.

I think that might have something to do with Manchester. A lot of Monarchs fans are also Bruin fans.

From Santa Barbara, 16 year ex-Coastie (DC) myself. Im currently in central Virginia, just south of Richmond.

Pearl of advice #1: Get Center Ice!
Pearl of advice #2: Get a DVR!

i'd not be going out on a limb by saying that a fair majority of Monarchs fans are Bruins fans and not Kings fans at all. most follow their "boys" wherever they play, but couldn't give a rip about the Kings.

It's going to be quite a bit more of a hostile environment, especially in Philly. Fans at Staples are pretty passive compared to the midwest and east coast arenas. But as long as you don't do anything to stupid you will be ok, and most people end up taking it in good fun.

Goodluck and as the other poster said, get CI if you can and enjoy the East Coast. And thanks for your service.

BTW, on the same topic kind of. I'll probably be back in Chicago for the season. Any Kings fans in (Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, possibly Minneapolis and Columbus also) want to also get together for a game this season. It makes it much more fun to have a few other fans.

east coast Kings fan here. I'd be down for meeting up with some fans! Although I do plan to make a LA trip in January to catch 3 games at staples this season. I'll still try to catch them in Jersey, Long Island, or Boston.

As somebody said about being an east coast fan. Center Ice and a DVR will solve it. I work nights getting out at 11 pm... So I'll have the DVR running and when I get home I'll just play the game from start without looking at the score. So it's still all live to me! Even if you have to be up early in the morning you can dvr the game and watch it all when you get back from work. I actually like watching the games on DVR opposed to live because I can fast forward through commercials and intermissions.
