I think someone explained in another thread that the McFarland etc. contracts is not counting. So I guess we have a few left.

I'm a bit confused about the contract situation too. But I am sure it isn't an issue for the team otherwise we wouldn't be making all these moves.

Yup we'll be okay on contracts since McFarland, Petrovic and most likely Howden will be getting sent back to juniors. Any player with an ELC that gets sent back to juniors doesnt count against the 50 limit rule and we dont lose a yr on that contract. With Kearns, we have 45 contracts and we still have to re-sign Matthias, Caruso, Cheverie and Plante which would bring us up to 49. That leaves 1 contract spot left over for Gudbranson to sign as well.

I actually stopped caring about that. If Santos can't take charge of the contracts which is his forte', then no one can. Tallon hired that man for many reasons and contracts is a biggie.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for pointing that out again.

As a Rampage fan, I LOVE this signing. Kearns is above average at just about everything. He can score, he's an ok skater, he's excellent at faceoffs, he's a great PK'er, and a great leader. He will also stick up for teammates and isn't afraid to drop the mitts.

I tweeted last week sometime that the Panthers needed to sign this guy. I'm very happy they did.

That's awesome, and I love his name. Ron Swanson would be proud.

Absolutely...

Give 100%. 110% is impossible. Only idiots recommend that.
