For a multiyear deal buying UFA years, 3.5 would be inconceivably low.

Thats a great deal, and there was NO WAY we wouldve been able to get him for 3.5 per. Cally will probably get a bit under 4.5 per. Since this is 4 years worth does it take away any of his UFA years?

I would have been happy with anything up to 4.5. I think the callahan deal will follow suit within the next couple of days.

Yeah I don't think that is going happen. lol.

People need to realize it's part of business negotiating.

On topic, figured he would signed between 3.8-4.0mil but am happy. Glad this is out of the way.

One more to sign.

Dubi would've been a UFA after this season correct? So NYR bought out 3 possible UFA years with this deal?

Awesome job, lock up Callahan and Eminger now and let's get to training camp

I'd really like to see confirmation from someone else. Kyper has really established credibility for himself over the past two years, but I'm still slightly cautious.

Seems about right. Expect Callahan to get between $4-4.5

question is...that leaves them with what, $2 mill in cap space if they total close to $9 mill together?

So does Wolski get bought out, or what do the Rangers do...$2 mill is just enough to fit in Erixon, correct? But they still probably need another defenseman...not sure the exact status of their cap space at the moment

I just posted in the other thread how I thought his true value was closer to 4.25ish. Im very happy with this deal. Would have liked another year or two but this is good.

Cally locked up now 5 years 4.4 is my guess.

Yaaaaaay! Everyone loves him again!!

But seriously, I hope he can continue to improve. As I said in the arbitration thread: No excuses this year. If he's playing with two elite talents like Richards and Gaborik, he better produce.

Looks like ol' Brooksie takes another one in the @$$. He's been pounding Twitter with comparable players making $5M+, insinuating that Dubinsky was going to sign for at least $5M per.

Selfish schmuck.

Great deal. And one thing we've learned from his negotiations is that he wants to be here long-term, despite some who were saying a few months ago "Dubi doesn't seem like the player who wants to be a Ranger for life, I'm sure he wants to hit free agency soon." I look forward to watching his continued development in Ranger blue.
