Value is there, Rynnas makes this deal a mistake for the leafs. Eberle is undersized. Leafs need bigger bodies. These two peices are dealt for a definite #1 C (along with other pieces of course). If Edmonton fans new anything about Rynnas they would think differently.
Isnt a good goalie prospect worth anything when EDM doesnt have any.
isnt a good goalie prospect worth anything to TO??
Dubby is just as proven as reimer is...
Neither team will touch this, Edmonton doesnt even think about it, and this doesnt even cross TO's mind. Would it help both teams, possibly, more so edmonton..( for the defensive aspect, trading ebs would sting)
But like i said, neither team even considers this.. both are going to be stars in the game, and the 3rd could be good, only time will tell...
The value is not there, this is a prison style shower scene with the Leafs on the receiving end.
I think its obvious that its a deal that would hurt BOTH teams. The Oilers don't need another prospect goalie, Bunz is awesome, and both Roy and Perhonen are great young goalies too. So Rynnas adds nothing to the deal.
Rynnas is a fine prospect, but we do have a few goalie prospects in the pipeline that could end up just as good, simply because no one really knows how good Rynnas will ever be in the NHL.
Also, I think the Oilers are pretty high on Dubnyk as well. He's only 1 year older than Rynnas and they basically had identical numbers this year, with one being in the NHL and the other the AHL.
Not sure he is good enough to be more of a sure thing than Dubnyk, and if he was considered that good then no one would ever package him with Schenn for anything less than a Carter, Richards, etc. type of player, so the point is moot.
