Clifford-Stoll-Simmonds would have been one hell of a 3rd line.

Just saying.

Honestly, I don't think Armstrong is going to push us over the edge. I'd just as soon play the guys we have on the roster, then make a trade at the deadline if necessary. I'd rather have Kitsyn's potential than another marginal bottom 6 player.

I'd rather have a better 2nd line with Mike Richards centering Simon Gagne and Dustin Brown.

Agree 100%, I'd do this back when Colby was in Pittsburgh but not now.

Our weakest position is LW and people are talking about trading our gold medal winning LW scorer for a overpaid 3rd line winger?

True but I suspect parse makes the third line this year. He isn't as gritty as simmonds but still has grit and he has more skill. I still think we'll have a bell of a third line.

Don't write off Holloway, King, Clune, or Nolan and possibly this kid Andreoff who is 20 and built like a NHL players and has 15-1-3 fight card in juniors and scored 33 goals last year and can skate....looking at his highlights I honestly think he has Simmonds/Clifford potential.

I wouldn't deal Kitsyn for anything other than a solid overpayment. I like the fact that he came over and proved he can not only play the NA game but do very very well at it for his first go around. In two years (or sooner) MK is only going to get even better. He is a bonafide top 6 LW with grit character and an enormous hockey IQ. Second line LW with the ability to play a little top line too.

I would pay to see a line of MK/MR/DB in a year or two. It could be the next triple crown line for sure. I keep MK at this point over several other players.

If Parse makes up a 3rd line for us Parse/Stoll/Richardson and we go with Clifford/Lewis/Westgarth-Holloway-Kozun I think we would be solid.

What I like is that there are several ways to make these combinations for both our top AND bottom 6 and come up with some very solid lines. We look very good.

How about Kitsyn-Loktionov-Semin in a couple years?

Mr. Kozun is under the impression that he'll make the Kings. He's fast, but is he NHL-fast? If so, I wonder if a "speed line" of Parse/Stoll/Kozun would work.....

He has the foot speed to compete at the NHL level (Kozun) is he quick enough to make the transition just yet? I think he is but he is right on the edge. I speed line like you mention would be really fun to watch but would Granny Murray allow for such open creativity on his team? Such speed? He would probably make them pull up at the blue line and wait for everyone to get into position and then let them carry the puck into the zone....1-2-3 Oleary 4-5-6 Oleary.

The guy has been overlooked (and maybe rightfully; I'm not too sure how he played last year) but what about Steve Bernier? I know there's general consensus here that the spot should be won in camp from within but it couldn't hurt to have an extra option, especially someone with playoff experience that extends into the second round. He could probably be had for cheap to boot.
