here we go...less than 2 months. Never been so excited for a rangers hockey season in my 20 years and 9 months of life.

The countdown begins.

One thing I am looking forward to is the full coverage of the games on HBO for the winter classic series. They did a great job last year with the Caps/Pens (despite how much I despise the teams). We are going to have mics on the ice in raw uncut form for the first time. Hopefully they don't disappoint us, and we get to see Torts punch a cameraman or something of that nature.

1 day after my birthday...lucked out at the beginning of 09-10, as the 1st preseason game was on the 15th (seems really early).

Who actually does the SNY Rangers blog? And what connections/sources does he have? I feel like they actually break quite a few things. More than I would expect for a blog I rarely look at.

Adam Rotter does it for SNY.

And he didn't really "break" this -- it was included in a press release the team sent out. I also had it on my Twitter at around the same time.

It's pretty weird. I liked their page on Facebook and from time to time I'll see things pop up on my news feed from them saying info I hadn't even seen yet, not even on Twitter. Obviously not major stuff but things like "Chad Johnson got sent down."

Would definitely recommend liking the page on Facebook.

My youngest son's b'day is the 15 also.

And we get to watch the TC prospects tournament the week leading up to this.
