Energetic guy with great hands/passing skills. Awesome leader. Even better tan and goal celebrations. Horrendous skater, though.
Thanks for the info. All things being equal, I'd prefer the better skater, but Vinny fits the bill everywhere else.
Edit: Didn't know he wore #20. Should've been a tip-off.

Great pickup. He distributes the puck very well, especially on the PP. I'm not sure how well he'll hold up physically, but if he does, you can expect 50 points and change.
Glad to see Howson sticking with tradition and maintaining the minimum quota of Czechs.
(Seriously, I'd be shocked if we didn't dress the most Czech's on our roster over the last decade. Anybody care to look this up? This seems like a job for Sprague.)
Oh yeah, Howson>>>>>Portzline at scooping things that Howson does.

Vinny was only in New York for 2 seasons, but we all loved him. Great teammate, and when healthy, a great player.
He came back from his knee surgery and was frequently our best forward down the stretch. Finished strong as well, with 4G-2A-6P in his final five regular season games.

He's quickly becoming my preferred source on rumors and signings...
as long as he has recovered from his knee injury this would be a good deal...bordering on great if he ends up with 50 pts
Yeah, that's the one worry...if his knee holds up. Rumor was the Rangers were at least interested in bringing him back but were unsure about the status of his knee. But that also doesn't mean he won't be OK.
He can probably get 50 points playing with Nash or Carter if he's healthy all year, so good signing. Can play LW or center, slow skater but works hard overall. Not exactly a natural scorer or playmaker but does a little bit of both. Nice guy to have on the team
