Best Bang For The Buck Contract On The Team?

Gotta give it to Marc Staal's contract. He makes just under $4M which is amazing IMO. On the open market he could probably fetch $6M+... God and Sather willing that will never happen.

Excluding ELCs...Anisimov, Sauer, Prust, and Staal, as you mentioned.

Staal, absolutely. Maybe McDonagh's ELC, too.

Marty's a very good one, too. Forgot about it because of his injury but that's definitely a very good contract for a top notch backup.

Staal easily is the best bang for your buck player on our team.

Now that Drury's finally gone, is there really a genuinely bad contract on the team?

Probably Wolski after Redden.

Let me correct myself. Are there any players with bad contracts that still put on a blue shirt.

Wolski is technically a bad conract as he's obviously underperformed to his salary, but he has a chance to play up to his contract next season if Richards is feeding him the puck all season.

Biron is the answer. Staal, as good as he is, still takes up fairly high salary.

Staal, Biron, hopefully Richards.

Anisimov and Sauer are signed to sweetheart deals also.

True, but right now, pound for pound I think Wolski is the answer to your question.

Wolski isn't really a bad contract cause its one year and could be cheaply bought out if we really wanted to. Shouldn't though.

Redden is still a bad deal cause he is on our summer cap each year.

That's asking a lot. Even if Wolski gets to 60 points, he needs to start playing more responsible hockey. I REALLY hope he doesnt end up on the Richards-Gaborik line...it'd be an extremely easy line to push around.

Even though he's now gone I give honorable mention to Vinny Prospal.

But as far as current Rangers go; Biron-makes peanuts, and Staal-when he signed that contract my first though was "dude....you could've got like $1.25 million more per year!"

Redden's contract hurt us this year. If it wasn't for that we wouldn't have needed to buy out drury. Drury's injured, I don't think he'd refuse to be sent to the minors to collect his paycheck, because he actually gets more $ that way because of no escrow.

Stepan, Prust, Biron, Anisimov in that order.

Staal needs to start chipping in more offensively to earn that next tier contract. He's being paid fairly right now.

Sauer and McDonagh by a country mile. Anisimov and Fedotenko, as well. Callahan will still be a bargain, too.
