I like the Blue C jersey or the CA jersey but that one is also red. Something blue would be nicer IMO

I'd like a black and yellow version of the jersey.

Black and yellow would just look... so wrong. I'd propose the bruins to have a blue, white and red jersey, and everytime we play them, we wear the black and yellow and they wear their tricolor jersey.

Same logo, but an official pink jersey to sell more to women and girly men.

Nah. Not having a third or alternate logos/patches (in general rotation, naturally. the Centennial/1991 stuff doesn't count) is a good thing.

How about a special jersey they wear once a year on St. Paddy's Day?

I have always wanted to see a third jersey with a Canadian flag on the shoulder area, similar to the Flames jersey...Adding the provincial flag would also please huge part of the fan base perhaps...

I admire the purists...who would like to keep the tradition strong etc and keep the classic jersey etc, however I would like to point out all great clubs move with the times...including our beloved Montreal Canadiens...recently we increased the size of the CH crest logo part of the jersey by something like 25%...

Marketing is a huge part of profits...jerseys are as well...3rd jerseys will eventually be utilized to sell a new one every year...All the worlds best soccer teams or many of them rather come up with a new jersey every year...its part of making profits etc...So I see eventually the Montreal Canadiens marketing dept. capitalising on this making a new third jersey every year to make more profits from sales etc...

They make third jerseys in smaller markets to get people to go out and buy new merchandise. People buy new jerseys every year over here. I don't see why third jerseys are necessary.

And let's not put flags on the jerseys, please. I've already got enough of the Maple Leafs calling themselves "Canada's team" and now the Jets trying to get support with military imagery.

Not to get all technical on you, but the team is called the CANADIENS!

As to me, I generally wouldn't want to see a random third jersey. Canadiens should keep it simple and stick to traditional stuff, it's classier. Generally, the Original Six should only do retro jerseys in my opinion. So far the Red Wings and Canadiens have done that best and I'd like to see them keep it that way.

If they wanted one for general rotation, I'd like to see one of the Centennial Jerseys pop back into general rotation (probably the CA one).

This one reflect the rich history and tradition of the management, scouting and coaching staff.

Well if Gauthier & Martin had been there in the 2000's we could hardly have done worse than we did. I mean they did okay in Ottawa, didn't they ?

If they chose anything, I'd like to see the red version of the open C similar to the 1945 jesey:

I wonder what it'd look like if they made a retro jersey/socks/other equipment this colour for a game. I mean shades of grey, has anyone tried making a jersey or uniform look like an old black and white broadcast?

The faces would probably look weird considering they aren't grey themselves, but it'd be an interesting experiment.

The only other alternative is to come up with a sweet new jersey with sharp lines all over it and "HABS" printed diagonally on the front of the jersey. All the cool kids are doing it.

I always loved this jersey and would like to see it as a full time 3rd jersey rather than re-inventing the logo or doing something drastically different.

What about we keep the logo that is part of our storied franchise, and that is known from many parts around the world, even places where there is no hockey ? Perhaps the jersey design, but don't touch the logo please...

I agree, that one looks really good. Keeps the classic colors and logo, with a twist.

Does anyone know why the pants and helmet are a different blue than the jersey and socks? It looks kind of wrong.

Am I the only one a little bothered by this?
