Can't get much cheaper than $5 to park.

I played fullback a couple of seasons, some of the most fun I ever had playing football, middle linebacker was fun too.

Or free? I never get the parking complaints at Staples. There are plenty of cheap lots if you are willing to walk your lazy ass a few blocks. You can also park on the street for FREE if you get there before about 6:30pm. Hell, if you are willing to walk from Olive, you can get there up until gametime and there are usually still spaces.

Agree 100%. The Raiders will not win until Al Davis passes away if he hasn't already. The guy was a genius but the game has passed him by. If you bring the Raiders here you will be bringing a team that has been losing and will continue to lose. There about to lose their best defensive player to free agency. The Lambs? I went to quite a few Lambs game as a kid, some of the most fickle fans I've ever seen. Once the team was out of it the fans stopped showing up. You had your chance and you didn't go to games. Besides, the Vikings are the same color as the Kings-forum blue and gold!

At least with the Jags we'd get Jones-Drew back.

You could always read the article but they said the plan is to have a team here for 2012 playing in either the coliseum or the rose bowl and the stadium would be built by 2016 if they broke ground next summer.

For a project like this, i'll take AEG 11 times out of 10.

They've done this(or something similar) at least a dozen times.

As long as somewhere Carol Rosenbloom is sticking a pitchfork in Georgia's ass, it's all good.

Don't think so. His wikipedia page makes no mention of it.

Roski does own part of the Kings.

I would take Roski's stadium over AEG's any day.
Industry would be much better than a downtown stadium w/o tailgating.

I like AEGs plan more. Industry is a drive for me and the 605 blows.

Not being able to tailgate won't fly.

Since when?

Leiweke has said otherwise in just about every radio interview he's done in LA over the last month.

Tailgating in a parking structure is not tailgating.
Besides, he has the nickname "Lieweekly" for a reason

Being that Roski's has been "Shovel ready" for a year now, and they haven't had so much as a nibble (so to speak), I don't think the interest is their unless City Counsel shoots down Farmers Field today.

EDIT: Apparently they won't vote today.

All things being equal, I just can't see how city of industry is going to beat out Downtown LA. It doesn't matter to me either way but Downtown LA is a public transit hub. The metrolink will only be helpful for people coming from LA or Riverside. People in OC and SGV would have to drive. Plus I don't know if Roski cut through all the red tape with Walnut, Diamond Bar and other neighboring cities that were complaining. I can't understand why cities would say no to jobs at a time like this. They should be welcoming with open arms. And for God sakes people of Walnut, get off your high horse, you live on top of a dump, literally.

They had Leiweke and the City Counsel President on Mason & Ireland in the last hour both said they expect a vote in the next 7-10 days, and both said they'll be surprised if it's close.

Not to entirely change the subject, but could there be a worse name for a stadium in the entertainment capitol of the world?

Farmer's Field? Really?

I'm sure that Tim Leiweke distributed enough cash to the City Council ****** so that the vote is superfluous...
