Man, that guys pretty pissed. It took me about half an hour to read that article because my eyes kept wandering to the picture on the right. Those kind of adds are the DEVIL Bobby!

Nice to see that St Louis is getting their $9 million worth of play from Weight again this year

one of the implications inthe article is that demitra and weight "pad" their stats against weak teams and then disappear against the stronger teams. It would be nice if igor could get out his magic excel spreadsheet and tell us if that was true.

igor has noted that time and time again in previous posts on the subject.

Not so good for the Blues, but *** Great for my Yahoo League team!

I like Doug Weight as a player... but somewhere along the line he got terribly miscast. I don't think he's an elite talent or an elite leader. He's good in both areas, but not to the extent that his reputation inflated to as he neared this last contract.

Add Cujo to that list. These guys really prospered because they played for the Oilers, known around the league as a fast skating offensive team. Even if some years that label has been a struggle. This reputation has hurt the Oilers as a team in that guys like Weight have been offered large contracts to go elsewhere. And Edmonton made the correct decision deciding to let them go.

Since we held demitra to only 2 points what category does that put us in?

yeah, I was thinking that last night. These observations always have a way of biting you in the butt.

IMO, weight is a lot like carter in that he makes good players a little better but is useless when asked to carry the team on his own.
