Hi everyone. Sad ending to the game last night. Kuods to Inglorious and Jarome Iginla.

Bluenotes 4-2-11 > Question of the Day posted on Facebook, re: who is the most important RFA to re-sign. Also some thoughts on last nights loss and Rivermen news. They win in San Antonio and sign a Hobey Baker finalist to a ATO.

Blues News: Blues & Cards FSMW Conflict Sunday > A FYI on where and how you can see the game in Columbus tomorrow.

Big Jeff of BNZ just put up another article on NHL Hot Stove, thought it would be fitting to post here.

Enjoy!

Thanks. It's a rework of a piece I did on BNZ a while back. Altered it some for a more nuetral audience on Hot Stove.

Been a few days since I brought some links. Here are some new ones.

BNZ Blues/Komen Sub Team has a logo! > Logo has been posted. This will be the front of the shirt we give away to Twitter Followers and Facebook Fans if we can hit our goal of 750 (Twitter) and 300 (Facebook). Please help us out and raise money for Komen.

I hope the losses of Mandi Schwartz and EJ McGuire to cancer stir up the hockey community to help out my sites cause and all cancer fighting causes. Please follow the link, find our Twitter and Facebook accounts and give us a follow.

Speaking of Mandi: Remeber Her and Fight Cancer > I posted this on Monday over on Hot Stove and BNZ.

I've also got a blog running that I've asked folks to comment on to send their thoughts and prayers to the Schwartz family. I've still got a couple ways of contacting Jaden after my Q&A with him and will be sending all the comments I get on BNZ and Hot Stove to him and the family.

Time to Give David Backes Due Praise > Yep, title says it all.

Sorry for the hiatus, but my wife's surgery has taken time from writing.

Here is our story on the Grachev trade. Some Rangers perspective from Dave at Blue Seat Blogs and Cris who covers NYR for Hockey Independent.

Also a quick run down of picks with more details and analysis coming later.

Thanks for reading.

I hope everything is ok with your wife. It is very tough when the boss of the family goes down. Never realized how much my wife did until she was in the hospital. All the kid work then wound up in my lap.

Lots of posts up on site today.

BNZ is looking to grow in content and staff for next season. Here is a quasi State of the Site type deal that goes in to where we are and where we want to go.

BNZ is donating to the Commodore 64 Charity push spearheaded by Wysh at Puck Daddy. We're asking all Blues fans to join with us and send a big donation. Why? Because some elitist Red Wings fans went off the deepend about the "stunt" and we all love to poke the Wings when we can.

Info on the Blues 14 Fund Golf Classic this Fall.

Bluenotes: Conklin, Commodore 64, Blues links.

Some really nice content lately. The quality of the articles and interesting content makes it worthwhile to follow the blog.

(room for a couple cosmetic edits, but for a blog I don't expect that standard)

Thanks for the feedback. I've brought in some folks who are really passionate fans who just want to share their two bits. We've got more coming w/ some Rivermen writers in that regard, too.

I've been kicking around several ideas for cosmetic changes this summer (like disabling the scroller at the top and such). What do you see from your POV?

Got some new stuff on the site.

Newbie Chris Schomaker takes a look at who will be the next captain of the St. Louis Blues.

My wife Kelly was able to do an interview with Dawn Soloway, one of the Directors of the Amadeus Steen Foundation. Sadly, Steener's charity seems to take a backseat to the charities with direct local ties (Backes, Jackman, 14 Fund, etc). Still, this is a big deal to Alex and his family and the Blues should make more "to do" even though the "rewards" go back to Winnipeg. Please give the post a read. Here is a write up on Adrenaline Rush charity event coming up soon.

One more... From another new staff member, David Trigg, on Davis Payne ending the franchise's suffering.

Awesome. Thanks for these, anything hockey during the summer helps...

As far as design, it looks very much like a template was used. When I load an article, half of the page is the same as any other article. And it is the same all the time. I'd move the Twitter feed above the search function. Try reducing the margins on the page, those are two huge white stripes running down either side of the screen that could be better used. Maybe a splash of more color? Anyway, just some ideas from someone that has no idea what they are talking about.

Just about every hockey blog site out there is based off of Wordpress so you'll see a lot of "templates" where ever you go. Nature of the beast.

Depending on your browser settings you will see less area on the sides. When I look at the site w/ IE 7 at work, it's two columns and that's it. W/ Firefox or Chrome on my Mac at home I get the wider margins.

The color aspect is something I'd like to change so seeing others bring it up certainly helps my decision making easier. Thanks.

Do you think the right hand column feels clunky? It does to me. Not sure how to tweak it, but its something on my list.
