He was an Eagle, but he is referring to when Babin played for Washburn in Tennessee.

Any chance we can sure up our offensive line through free agency? Seems like Vick had to scramble a lot last year.

They drafted Danny Watkins to help out with that i believe. Our center Jamal Jackson (right?) he is still recovering from surgery isnt he? Why not bring in O'Hara, just released from the giants?

The Eagles are supposedly one of two teams battling for Stephen Tulloch, the linebacker from Tennessee. See here: http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2...tephen-tulloch. That should help the LB corps substantially, if they can get him. Lions are going after him hard, it seems.

This. Get the Kolb for DRC + pick done, sign Tulloch, sign Vince Young, and sign another decent O-lineman. And give DeSean enough to shut him up and get him to camp.

Great trade. Now sign Tulloch and Sproles.

I like the Kolb deal. Turn a 2nd round pick in to a 2nd round pick and a talented, CHEAP, young corner. Works for me, even if DRC is flawed. Now, get some D-line help, a LB, and maybe some O-line help, and away we go.

I love Sproles as a player, but I just don't see how he fits in here. As Stonehands77 said, Sproles is essentially a smaller version of McCoy that can take some carries and catch passes to relieve the pressure off McCoy. Lewis isn't much of a pass catcher, but isn't bad and is small. Devine is pretty much Lewis but a better pass catcher.

i am high on Matthews as well but I really don't wanna see him rushed. I think he can be as good as his brother but he will still need some work... glad to see they are after Tulloch. I think another vet would be good as well.

Matthews was practicing with the first string today i heard.. So maybe if we have him and tulloch we could actually have a good set of linebackers since we had young trotter

The immediate speculation circulating for Young's next landing spot centers on the Eagles, who recently traded Kevin Kolb, as Philadelphia could certainly be in the market for a project-type quarterback with upside to backup Michael Vick. (Our own Clark Judge agrees, having floated the idea out there earlier on Twitter.)

The Eagles have released FB Leonard Weaver and four other players. Weaver's contract was terminated after he failed a physical.

I liked Owen Schmidt so I guess Im fine with this.

The other four players were DT Jeremy Clark, CB Gerard Lawson, DT Jeff Owens (failed physical) and WR Jeremy Williams (failed physical).

Sproles would KR and PR for us which would be good.

Tulloch would be perfect in the middle, with Chaney at WILL and Fokou at SAM

Young would be a good backup with some upside.

We need an o-lineman, either RG or RT. Justice sucks and is still hurt.

Looks like they're following through, with Young a virtual certainty to join the team. The move is a good one for the Eagles, who gain an experienced backup with playoff experience, and a great one for Young, who can step back and rebuild his career while sitting behind Vick.
