Wonder why he had his character's kid self wear a Habs jersey in Dirty Work, then.

Truth be told I doubt many of these celebrity fans actually follow the sport. I guess Norm would, though, since he seems to follow all sports and his character on The Norm Show was a banned pro hockey player. However this is the first I've heard of a Bruins allegience and I've been a big Norm fan for 15 years.

Also he picked the Canucks to win over the Bruins. Not sure if that means anything.

Edit: Nevermind, just found the interview in question. What a pity haha

Edit #2: Come to think of it he only said he cheered for them when he was a kid, but left it ambiguous as to whether or not he's still a fan. I'd put money on him being a Habs fan now. When I was a kid I was a huge Mighty Ducks fan, but I switched to the Habs in my early teens.

your prolly right, but still he has ties to Denmark, and since danes playing NHL is kinda new.. I thought he might just think of it as cool
Also, I actually met him once, in Tivoli Gardens. Spoke with about Denmark. Actually found his Danish good but with some accent ofcourse. He said he loves Denmark, and feels quite a bond with the country.
He spent quite some time in Esbjerg.

The first NHL game I saw LIVE was an Sens game @ madison square, back in 03. Kind had a man crush on Alfredsson also, so.

Drafting a dane was just a bonus

But to be fair, Eller is my fav. Danish player, and I love the city of Montreal!
Also you guys are so friendly compared to say NUCK'S fans

But, where I come from, changing fav. team, is murder!!! I have a Soccer mentality

If you watch Annakin Slayd's song "MTL stand up" there's an interview with Viggo at the very start and he says he wore a Habs T-shirt under his Aragorn costume and it gave him more courage and power with his sword. He also made a speech at the Centennial game.

For the kind of acting needed in battle scenes in Lord of the Rings, yes. I take it you thought that was just kiddy fun time and some guy just happened to film it?

Good acting isn't pretending. An actor who pretends to feel sad, brave, angry etc. will come across as a phony. To get a good result, the actor has to truly feel it.

Actors will use any number of tricks in order to feel the part they are playing and I am quite amused that wearing a habs jersey worked for Viggo Moretensen when he needed to feel heroic!

He actually got in serious trouble early in his film career for skipping off a set to attend a Denmark World Cup qualifier. He almost got fired.

In pretty decent French with what sounded like a Quebec accent! He showed up all the guys who say they don't have time to learn French.

Hmmm Viggo yes. Should we re-title this thread as celeb Habs fans and keep it instead of having it locked and forgotten forever?
