I'm surprised he couldn't get $525k from somebody. Or conversely that he could get much much more than that in the KHL.
Look what Lilja got from the troll Homer in Philadelphia ^^

Wow. He loved Chicago so much. I thought he'd either sign with them or call it a career.

He couldn't keep his "boys" out of her purse long enough to play in Atlanta. Every off day he would run back to Chicago.

Sopel is a stand up guy and a terrific teammate. Wish he would play with the Blackhawks one more time.

surprised he didn't get an nhl job. he still has plenty of game as a pk specialist.

and for such a family oriented guy like he is that will have to be a big decision.

i can feel him playing a year there, getting out of his contract, and then if he can't get an nhl job taking the chelios route and playing for the wolves, and hoping for a late season job with whoever they're affiliated with at that point.

Wow sounds like Sopel didn't really consult his wife at all. Surprising since he's such a family man. I would've thought if he wanted to keep playing he'd do what Chelios did and sign with the Chicago Wolves, but maybe he needs the cash?
