Don't have a need for it yet. I watch with a projector, and have a small 100 something inch screen

I have a 3D tv in the house where im on vacation, and it looks pretty sweet

I haven't really played since middle school or so and even then it was just roller hockey with friends.

How are games on the projector? Is it blurry or stretched out?

a buddy of mine has a really expensive projector system in his house (lucky ****er). It is like a 100 inch hd tv. Needless to say, I am very envious.

LOL...I do the same thing. My musical mood varies, and when I get into a song, I don't stop listening to it.

I made my mom hate Meatloaf after listening to Bat Out of Hell non-stop around April.

Right now, I'm addicted to Burn Down the Mission, 2112 (Discovery/Presentation), and Drift Away.

You need to go through band phases, not single song phases. I've been on a sorta post punk kick recently. Every once in a while I'll find a type of music I really like and add it to what I listen to regularly.

I'm kind of in a Rush/Elton John phase right now.

Rush is pretty good, Peart is one of the best drummers of the last generation. And I'm pretty sure you're enough of an Elton fanboy that its not a phase anymore. . My favorite Elton song is probably Leningrad, maybe only the good die young. And of course the Piano Man but if you don't like that song you have no soul.

You've confused one piano man for another. That's not Elton, it's Billy Joel. Elton is MUCH better than Billy Joel (although I respect BJ and some of his work...Downeaster Alexa, great song).

Ugh you're right. Close enough, I always screw up their names . I like Billy more than Elton, though, probably moreso because I'm more familiar with Billy. I only really know the most popular Elton songs enough.

Yeah, BB, you confused Elton for Joel. Leningrad is one of my favorite Joel songs.

Billy Joel is my absolute favorite musical artist. I love Elton John, but I like Joel more, although I think Elton is more talented.

Elton is more talented, but it's really Bernie Taupin that is the man here. Joel's not much of a lyricist. Elton has a lot more depth to his songs thanks to Bernie.

Pretty much every tv that has 3D capabilities are "3D ready" meaning it can be turned on/off. Not too much is broadcasted over cable networks (iO, verizon, comcast, direct tv, etc.) that is in 3D. Usually you will here when something is going to be broadcasted in 3D because they advertise it a good amount. The 3D use out of the tv will be done with a 3D blu-ray player and 3D blu-ray dvd + the glasses. However, I don't doubt that 3D broadcasts will appear more and more on cable tv as time goes on.

A good projector will give you a pretty damn good picture. It's usually cheaper too than say to go buy a 65"+ LED/Plasma when it's all said and done. If you dont have a nice white wall to project the picture on to, then you can buy the pull down screen which can be mounted flush to the wall, or you can get the motorized pull down in the ceiling which is pretty nice because it hides it when its not in use. Still even when getting the screen and projector (which can be mounted in the ceiling) the cost will more likely than not be similar or less than a comparable LED/Plasma, plus you usually end up with a bigger screen/picture.

Well I finally succeeded in life by scoring a 210 in bowling. It's about ****ing time I cracked 200. I probably have the record of most consecutive games bowling between 175 and 199 without ever touching 200.

Congrats! I used to bowl all the time, and it was for the longest time a goal of mine to bowl a perfect game. That never happened, but my high was around a 240. Bowling just got really expensive out of nowhere around me - I remember I would go most every day and it would be something like 20$ for two hours and now its like 20$ a game.

I think tomorrow I'm going to wear my Messier shirt when I go to vote for the Isles arena. Except I'm going to tape over "Messier" with "Vote No" so it looks like "Vote No '11".

For the record, I'm voting yes, but I love toying with Islander fans.

If you end up doing that bring a bat or something just in case.

And man I don't know why I even try to read anything on this site other than this board.

Bowling has really priced itself out of the market over the years. I've been bowling since I was a kid and the price increase since the early 90's to now is just staggering for bowling. There is a reason alley's don't pack out anymore, hell then don't even get 50% full anymore.
