I mistakenly voted for Toronto. I meant to vote for Carolina, I completely forgot they were a team.

Carolina is being seriously underrated on these boards. I think they sneak their way into the playoffs.

If Staal/Ward stay healthy, it'll be a fight right til the end.

The problem with this part of the conference is that 6-12 will basically be interchangeable.

I think Toronto will be surprisingly good, maybe not playoff good, but, you know, 10th place good

Canes easily take this. Toronto is much improved as well and takes the next spot. I really hope we can create some separation early so we don't have to deal with these teams because some of them can be pretty dangerous.

Canes again since round 7.

EDIT: I think this thread is an awesome idea but some people need to think on their own. Every round the votes have been over 50% except for round 1 and most of the times it's 60-70%. The East is going to be all over the place this year so for everyone to agree so much at each spot is kinda crazy.

Not going to happen. Everyone else is improving as the Rangers have (seemingly) solidified themselves by bringing 1-C (save maybe the Flyers); it's going to be a dogfight especially in the Atlantic this year.

To put some context to it: a few years ago the Pens were scary-deep and scary-good with by Crosby & Malkin going well at the same time. They're less scary now and the Rangers are far nearer the level of play the Pens were on a few years back, but they're also probably not as good even if they're generally a now-deeper team.

This organization has the depth now, we have a mass of guys who are coming into their own as NHLers, and more guys banging on the door. In a way it's like..wow, there's only six defenseman, seven at most, on the roster, and we have a good bunch of guys, many of which are never going to play in one of those spots if only because there's so few.

It doesn't only look like the Rangers are a better team this year, it feels like they are, and that's more than I can attest to any any point in the last decade of Rangers hockey.

Idk... maybe I'm far too used to the Rangers being Mediocre. I do think they will be much better this year. I want to be optomistic... I picked us at 5. I just don't want making the playoffs to come down to the final couple weeks of the season because teams like Carolina can certainly beat us. . All I'm saying is I want to jump out early and stay ahead of the pack. We all saw what Buffalo, Carolina, and Toronto did down the stretch last year. Let's stay out of that this year. Maybe rest Lundqvist and give Cally a day off here and there so we have the energy to get out of the first round.
