Hes not big enough, physical enough, or a capable enough tackler to play in the slot consistently.

And I dont think they need to trade Samuel to sign DJack. They need to trade Samuel because he no longer fits the defensive system.

That's fine, but he needs to fetch an impact player at a position
of need if he's traded. LB, OT

Another reason why Philly can get a first rounder for him.

Cole-Jenkins-Patterson-Babin is a terrific DL

arguable. hes a 30 year old corner, and all the other teams will know that he no longer fits the scheme they are running.

I would think 2nd round pick, or young starting player, either OL or LB.

I'd think Patterson would be on the outs now. Possibly another DT too. We've currently got Jenkins, Bunkley, Patterson, Dixon, Laws on the roster.

Wasent it rumored awhile ago that Patterson was going to get cut? Or was it Bunkley?

Dont recall.

They could use Jenkins more as just a pass rusher to keep him fresh and healthy. He wasent a great run stopper to begin with.

CWeb is clearly a better cover corner than T2.

Samuel was the best cover corner in the NFL last season.
Samuel gave up 2 TDs while Aso gave up 0. Ultimately isn't that what matters? There are so many other factors that impacts this that these are not reliable statistics. For example, does giving up yards in garbage when playing in prevent make you a bad corner?

Very disappointed Jenkins goes to Phi.

Hopefully the locker room tears itself apart I guess

none of the guys they brought in are me guys.

Biggest worries would be from guys already on the roster, Samuel, DJack, etc.

Samuel also had 7 interceptions, while Aso had 0.

As I said, Samuel was the best CB in the nfl last season... In terms of coverage ability, not complete CB (play against the run, tackling, etc.)

Was thrown at roughly 10 more times last year than Nnamdi.

Well that answers that question, Eagles just shipped Bunkley to cleveland.

Awful quick to make that deal, wonder how long that has been in the works.

The Bunkley trade is good for both teams. He wasn't going to stick around in Philly with Jenkins, Patterson, Dixon and Laws there already, and the Eagles needing cap room and Cleveland gets a 27 year old capable of starting right away for just a 5th rounder.

Dont think it was really a cap move, he was only due like 600k. But his contract was up after this season, wouldnt have stayed past then anyway. Get a 5th for him now while they can.

only that he seems mad at the jets for essentially casting him aside while they pursued Nnamdi for 10+ mil a season.

The Eagles hype around the web is getting a tad on the demented side. They haven't played one bloody game yet

Still not even the best team in the NFL imho.

Last year the Jets won the pre-season Super Bowl and this year the Eagles won it. I think, like the Jets of last year, the Eagles will fail to win the actual Super Bowl. Aso is a great addition, but Reid will never lead a team to the promised land. Rex Ryan can outcoach Reid every which way and back. Have them switch places and the Eagles probably win.

Very happy with this. Can definitely play better than Braylon, and if not it's only 1 year.

Honestly I don't think the Giants were that interested in Plax, but rather they met with him to please Steve Tisch.

I'd be absolutely shocked if Burress put up numbers anywhere near as good as Braylon did last year

should be interesting to see how 2 Super Bowl winning WRs (who both caught their game winning passes, too) function together. i hope Plax can return to top form.

I'm fine with it, I could see Braylon also having to take a 1 year deal somewhere else now, but I'm not sure he would of taken a 1 year deal with the Jets. Now if they can get Todd Heap done that is something I can get on board with.

Hopefully Plax stayed in shape. Love that it's a one year deal... he's out to prove he's still got it.

I hope Plax still has it. Now the Jets have 2 superbowl mvp wide recievers, and Cotchery. This is the year Sanchez either shines through and becomes a star, or stays average at best
