Nah. Strength aside, he doesn't bring anything to the table that can make him a 1st or even 2nd liner. If he works on his strength, I can see him finding a spot next to Eller.
Who would have tought Plekanec would become a first line player after his first two years in hamilton? Palushaj does many things well just like Pleky doesnt have the same playmaking style but i wouldnt be surprise to see him dominate in hamilton this year, again he needs to bulk up tough, i see great NHL instincts in him...
How many points would have got Palushaj last year if he didn't play with Desharnais for some part of the season?
It didn't hurt to play with the best player in the AHL at the time in Desharnais and the leading goal scorer in Pacioretty but he still ended up leading the Dogs in goals and points, tied for the team lead in assists with Desharnais (35 assists in 33 less games) I don't see why his production would be cut in half, he is a skilled player and creates his own chances for sure, he was among the Dogs best players in the last two playoffs and earned his way onto the top line this year. Granted when you play with the top scorers in the league I'm sure you could make a case for him having a few less points for sure if he didn't play with them but later in the year he once again formed one of the top lines in the AHL with Dawes and Boyd. (Dawes was just money around the net, really sucks to lose him as he converted a lot of Palushaj's feed's and made it look easy)

He struggled at first as he was battling some injuries, the Randy's even benched him for a couple games saying it wasn't the injury that he was 100% but wasn't moving his feet enough.
Here Palushaj news. Palushaj going to play in Toronto on Tuesday, Aug. 30 for the 2011 NHLPA Rookie Showcase. He will be one of the 27 top NHL rookie prospects playing. He will be in Toronto next Tuesday.
If Palushaj forces the clubs hand in bringing him up and then he sticks as a top 9 forward do you think if Andrei falters they'll deal him? I think they'd be even happier just keeping the depth for injuries.
