Good News!

It was a hard hit (I saw it!)

Not to be a stick in the mud, but weren't Deadmarsh and Allison listed as "day-to'day" for the last three seasons?

Anyway, I hope to see JR back out there asap.

This is the best possible news, but, like PuckHead implied, other players have been day-to-day and been out for much longer. Armstrong, for one, said that he'd be back "in a couple days," but is still out of the lineup a week later. Still, the signs seem to be good. I think that JR is done for the preseason and could possibly miss the first few games of the regular season, but as long as that's all it is, then that's better than fortunate. I actually wouldn't mind if he just skips the next two weeks as a precaution, anyways, just to be safe.

JR take a couple of weeks off. Demitra can step in and play center for the kids in the meantime.

Agreed Puckhead,

I though the same thing, "Day to Day" can mean 2 seasons for all we know.

Another nastly tid bit was that this was JR's 11th career concusion.

I don't think Ally or Deader were ever day to day. I think the "lowest" they were was week to week

I think this is a 1st degree thing. His neck and back are stiff but atleast he's not feeling whoozy like Deader and Ally were. This is great news!

Allison was also misdiagnosed. If he was properly diagnosed sooner, he probably would have recovered sooner.

Please don't rush JR back. We need him very badly if we are going to do anything this year!

I'll believe it when I see him on the ice...which is soon hopefully.

JR playing for the Kings might be what I've been looking forward to the most this season, even ahead of the kids and Garon, and I hope we still get to see it.
