I am wondering if there has been any talk as to what Philly management see Sean Couturier becoming? Will he be more of a 3rd line checking centre or can he push Giroux to the Wing & Schenn to the 2nd line center one day to become this team's top line center? Briere is also a guy that can shift to the wing.
Just trying to get a read of how Philly management will use Couturier in the future based on what has happened at development camp, etc.
Basically Jeff Carter, maybe less goals and more assists and a slight defensive upside.
If he will filling this role than i will absolute love him.
This would be a Girouxlike player with more checking and grit upside because of his physical strenghts!
Top5 Center in the NHL imo
If he is filling into this prediction..... We have a lot of if´s on our team....

I don't see development camp being enough for the Flyers to know what Couturier will become. Obviously they like his talent level. they drafted him. Couturier will answer those questions. How he develops will determine how they will use them. It's still unknown.
Couturier is really a special character. His upside can be that of Eric Staal, but more of a playmaker and 30 to 35 goals will probably be his top. His downside would be that of Keith Primeau, a forechecking demon, but capable of 40 to 50 points per year.

Saw Couturier play yesterday in a charity match in Magog...
First thing, he looks HUGE out there being wider and taller than most of the NHL other players...
But, even though it was just a charity match, he was lazy like no one! Was he shy about playing with established NHLer, maybe. But he showed absolutly nothing of his skills and couldn't simply keep the puck on his stick before creating turnovers.
That was his team :
TBA
Olivier Magnan KHL
Kristopher Letang Pittsburgh
Yanic Perreault LNH
Sean Couturier Drummondville-Philadelphie
Alex Lord Sherbrooke-LNAH
TBA
other team was:
Frédéric Cloutier Europe
Mathieu Carle Anaheim
Jason Pominville Buffalo
Pierre-Marc Bouchard Minnesota
Derick Brassard Colombus
François Bouchard Washington-Hershey
Stéphane Veilleux New-Jersey
IIRC, he's been touted as having a good work ethic. As long as he hustles, being snakebitten isn't the worst thing in the world. If he can play good defense and chip in some assists at least in the playoffs, I'd be pretty happy. If he bulks up, he'd be a pretty ideal two-way center with good offensive potential.

And as saying what Sean Couturier will become ill let that happen and not make a comment but he has all the tools to be a great player for the flyers as long as they dont rush him...
