Can we at least see how plays for new management and city before writing him off? He just turned 21 years old and still has a lot of room to grow. Winnipeg will be patient with him. IMO His potential is worth waiting for to develop. That's why you see all these trade proposals for him.
Not sure how you can make that claim considering Winnipeg hasn't done anything yet.
I agree that people undervalue Bogosian a lot here, but a lot of people also substantially overvalue him too. He gets a bad rap because the players in his draft class (Doughty, Schenn, Myers, etc.) have done great things whereas Bogosian is still lagging behind. That being said, for a kid with as much potential as him having played 200 games already, he's not nearly as developed as he should be. His claim to fame right now is that he's absolutely incredible in NHL11 after a full season.
I forget who it was, but someone around TSN said the Bogosian trade rumors made him think of when Hartford gave up on Pronger so early. It wouldn't be smart for Winnipeg to trade him now, as they would be trading him at a low point of his career. With the potential he has, I'd want to see a trade involving Zajac coming coming back for me to risk trading Bogo. Clearly, it would be the Jets adding to Bogo to land Zajac.

what a lot of people see is the way he played when he was a rookie. even if all he does is get back to playing that way, he'll be a solid 2-3 d'man and a good powerplay specialist. if he plays the way he could, he really will be the next chris pronger. great shot, physical, and not a guy you want to deal with.
it's just a question of if he can get his head screwed on straight.

Zajac is too valuable to the Devils to get moved. Little is a good player, but he isn't an adequate replacement.
Little isn't Parise's separated at birth twin. Zajac is also superior defensively.
granted the chemistry thing, but little is damn good defensively. he was atlanta's best pker last year(granted that's not saying a whole lot) and he was +11 on a team that averaged -4. the closest player that played a full 82 games with the team was hainsey, who was +3.

I'm not saying Little is poor defensively. Not at all. In fact, I think he would do pretty well in the Devils' system.
But Zajac is one of the best defensive forwards the Devils have ever had, and we're talking about an organisation that has had several great ones. Holik, Madden, Pandolfo, Carpenter, Brylin. Zajac is not at all out of place in that company. He's been criminally underrated by Selke voters for years now.

oic. for some reason i read that as you thought he was bad defensively. well yeah he isn't zajac defensively, but if i were lou i would have to think long and hard about that deal. probably wouldn't do it but i just might.
i'd be much more willing to get that package for parise if he made it known he wanted out and for some reason winnipeg wanted him and was willing to move little.
but for multiple reasons i doubt either of those conditions would happen. and even if parise wanted out we could probably find a better package than that.

As discussed on our board many times, Zajac is probably the best defensive forward not named Holik in Devils history. I would take him over Madden, no doubt. Plus Zajac is twice the offensive talent as Madden.
